Nice start today, Pookey is doing so well!
The smaller lancets make a huge difference! I have been using 28 gauge for a few days, they were at the botom of my jar, and it's crazy how bad they feel. I need to get a new box.

Hi Tim, do you always get blood with 30 g? I switched from 23 G to 28 G and sometimes I have to poke her twice to get blood... But if I look at her ears, 30 G would be great!

So far - yes. Granted, we’ve only used them for like 10 tests… His ear is a little raw, so I think that area is more receptive to 30 gauge than a fresh ear would be.

Thank you Tim! Happy it works so well for you! We keep on trying with 28G so far..... Hope we can change one day because her ear doesn't look necessarily "fresh". :cat:
 
If his ears looka little raw


I have read that many members use pure coconut oil, I have copied this from one of the members posts
just make sure the only ingredient is coconut oil (mine is solid at room temp and I would take an itty bitty dab and rub on his ears)
It seemed to help with the healing
You might be able to get it at a health food store or just Google pure coconut oil
It's fine if they lick it
 
Tim, off-topic, but I looked back at when you first joined this forum and I can't believe you've only been at this for just over a month. The amount of information you have absorbed is super impressive. Great, great job. Look at Pookey now!
