I need some dosing advice for this evening. On Tuesday, we increased Moochie's Lantus to 2.25 unit twice daily and this morning while I was at work he dropped to 60 (libre 2 alarm sounded). He was given a 14 carb snack and had a slight bump up to 81 , followed by a small amount of Karo syrup about an hour later (102).
They did another scan around lunch time and saw him dip back to 91 at +7 so they gave him low carb food again which really hasn't moved the needle all that much.I'm still stuck at work it latest reading is 116.
How would you approach tonight's dose? Is there a level that you should skip a dose or halve it?

PS I use the libreview numbers for the spreadsheet which don't always match the scan. Maybe the app averages numbers.

I see by the spreadsheet that you are following SLGS for dosing. With SLGS, you reduce immediately by 0.25 units, if they go under 90. But that's on a hand held BG meter. Any chance you managed to double check those lows. Often the Libre shows a lot lower than a BG meter would.

It's a little early to say what he'd be at +12. Maybe post with a +11 reading to we can figure out what to do.

There are some things you can do to help us help you faster. The main one is getting your signature up to date with some more information, which is listed in this post:

Thank you, Wendy. Moochie picked a bad day to play games. I'm stuck at work today because of a year end project and its an hours ride home. I've been managing the situation remotely with someone who really isn't capable of testing (macular degeneration = poor eyesight and mobility issues). At this point I'm happy she was able to identify and treat him. I'll test handheld as soon as I get home. The only reason I think the readings might be legit, is she's given him Friskies gravy a few times and in the few times he's stolen it from another cat, his bg zooms up. It hasn't today. Of course, this couldn't happen when I'm WFH tomorrow.

GWB into NY was a mess so, I got home late. Today was a rare post covid visit to my company NJ HQ. Trying not to beat myself up over it because the job is what keeps a roof over our heads.

Handheld relion meter was 358 and he was munching on plain chicken cutlet when I walked in. Libre says 337. Within range? I'm prepared to shoot 2 units. Not sure I'm brave enough to stay at 2.25 until I switch out the sensor tomorrow night.

Back filled SS based on Libreview recorded numbers. Not relion.

I’m sorry you had such a stressful day! Good luck with the reduction.
I do think there’s an averaging that does happen with the Libre.

It seems he was in a lower cycle since staying in those numbers for several hours today. Glad you had someone watching him!
I hope you have a calm night and he slides back down gently.

Definitely within meter variance. That size of difference means more in lower numbers. At some point when you are home and he goes lower, it'd be worth doing a comparison.
