Good evening,

another pink day today. But it might be we have a little party tonight. Her +2 was yellow after a red preshot. She might be up to something. As I am still sick, I will try to sleep for an hour before I take her +4 and then we see. Maybe the new dose is working. I am a little scared how poking multiple times will work, we never did this so far. Some new lancets arrived today but we still have to get used to it.

Unfortunately there is maybe a reason for her higher bg. Her urine test came back with "mixed flora" which usually means contamination or - in Binies case - more than two uninvited guests in her bladder. I asked them to further differentiate and than we will see. As she is not having symptoms at the moment, the vet think it would be better not to give antibiotics. But I want to be prepared, if symptoms start suddenly, so I want to know which germs besides the multi-resistant germ we are dealing with.

Hope everyone has a relaxed day and night! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Heike, I hope you will begin to feel better soon. Sorry you’re feeling crappy :(

And sorry the urine has 2 uninvited guests. It’s good you’re being prepared in case you should run into a problem, since I know your vet will be closed during the holidays.
Hopefully Binie will continue to feel OK and you won’t need any of the medications.

Ivy and I send you both lots of hugs and a kiss for Binie on her sweet face. Hope you both have a
Peaceful night and a restful sleep :bighug::kiss::bighug:

Handsome Methos is quite a womanizer! :) Don't break Binies heart Methos! :cat:
He knows she’s out of his league—and could probably kick his butt—he just wants a glimpse of her smile.

I have wondered about his back story, if he may have been an escaped breeding stud—he didn’t know how to meow, and the sloppiest eater I’ve ever seen—like he was literally raised in a barn, but had the most gorgeous coat I’ve ever seen on a cat outside of show winners. I know he looks short haired but he actually is medium to long, longer lower on his body/belly, in three layers with the top really silky so it lays flat instead of fluffy like most long haired cats, and the gold parts glittered. He looked a lot like a Siberian except his polydactyl paws. So perhaps he was a womanizer at one time. :)

Methos is soooooo handsome! He really looks special. And he looks so friendly and kind. And I think here is the problem with Binie and him. :) I think Binie decided a long time ago to stay single. :cat:
