So if Im breaking a bounce do I try to get an ACTUAL .25u or stick with what I believe Ive inadvertently given him last two shots? I believe Ive given him slightly more than .25u regardless of my intentions.

He's up and about from an ultra lethargic and very obviously poopy morning . Scouring the kitchen for food and delivering me stuffed mouse presents. He's such a good guy. I really want him back to normal. I'm switching back to salmon pate as well in case its a concurrent IBD issue, as well.

I think I’d be inclined to say try and do the same as what you feel you’ve been giving. I see he’s coming down a bit, I’d give him a pokie break until maybe +11. What’s he been getting for snacks today, and when?

He doesn't get snacks....and he is really high right now. I'm giving him .5

Lol, well let’s look in the positive side, we did squeeze out a couple extra cycles of what looked like 0.25u :p. And now you get to draw up insulin to a line.

Oh no lol. I don't even get that creature comfort. The syringes I have that measure half units also have REALLY short needles and I cant feel them penetrate his skin. So I use these other ones that I have measured the plunger width on. I mark the plunger with a razor blade and draw the insulin to the razor blade notch. I've used a digital caliper but its just as difficult as this method if not more so. The plunger width does seem to retain some pretty surprising consistency. Im sure you both would be impressed with the level or degree of insanity I've gone to in measuring them. :banghead::woot::woot::confused:

Have you seen Marje’s excellent info post on Dosing with Calipers, you might find something helpful there? I’d have suggested it earlier when we were talking about drawing up insulin but I didn’t want to throw yet another info post at you ;)
Ya that's what I was saying....I had read that and tried it. I just took my calipers back to the store a couple days ago. Its a really good idea, its just that I find it just as difficult as the one I use already. These plungers are literally all .5u. They are on the reli on syringes anyway. They are the same size on the other syringes I buy as well. I appreciate it though.
