Good evening,

another uneventful day today. Still I don't know, if she is not seing blue numbers or if I just don't catch them. With every number I test, I look through the ss and try to find patterns. Last night I set my alarm at +7, hoping to catch a blue number - but it was pink. I should not try to trade on the stock market. I would loose everying for sure. :)

I am a bit concerned that her bg is so high. After reading about Bell today, I wonder if it makes sense to test Binies urine. They will find this multi-resistant germ but maybe something else joined? Or could it be normal, that I increase and nothing happens?

The skin where the libre was is still hard and shedding dead skin cells. But besides all that, Binie is fine. Today I was going through the stuff on my desk and I found a print out of the "quality of life scale". In summer, when Binie was so unwell, I filled it out regularly because I was scared, I miss the point where she is really miserable. I forgot about it over time and at the moment her quality of life is so obvious for me, I don't need a scale. I hope we can keep it like that.

Hope everyone has a nice evening! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Every time methos stays stuck in pink and red I wonder about his urine. I find myself sniffing his box. I get ready to ask my vet what she thinks…and before i do he spends the night making me bring him junk food in bed

I hope you figure out soon what the problem is!

Hi Heike, I loved reading this. I’m so happy Binie is found and feeling well.
Take it one day at a time. Hoping her skin heals soon. But you are doing great right now.
We are sending you lots of good wishes and hugs. Sleep well :bighug::bighug::bighug:

When I switched Maverick from using AT2 meter to a human meter, I struggled to find the patterns. I think in some ways it’s similar, since you need to now rely on a new set of data independent of what you used to see before with the Libre. Those patterns won’t be apparent overnight :bighug:.

It is great that her quality of life improved so much, that makes me very happy :bighug:
You are testing a lot, if you miss one blue but she's back in pink one hour later, it's really not a big deal. And rather unlikely too. Tonight she went down from +2 to +4, maybe tomorrow will be more active. I hope you will get to the "magic dose" soon and start to see some changes.

You inspired me Colleen, to sniff on her box today. But everything smelled normal. Quite curious what is happening tonight. She is quite high, so might be the high before the low? Or is she bouncing from a blue number I did not catch? This is all a mysterie to me.... Methos has a great curve today!:cool::cool: I hope he comes up soon enough before shot time, so you can sleep tonight. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you so much for being at our side Staci! Binie takes the pokes like a champ, didn't think we would ever manage. The skin looks not so good. The one side all hard and flakey, the other side with a little inflammation where the sensor was. I really wonder what the issue is..... And I hope we can use the sensor again, so much more peace of mind....

I hope Ivy shows you some great and solid blue numbers!:cool::cool:

Thank you for your great support! I hope you are right. I feel a little lost at the moment. :) Hope Maverick does great! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Merci beaucoup Cecile! :bighug::cat::bighug: I think I did not miss anything that was dangerous. But I would be happy if she sees some blue on this dose and of course I would love to have some proof. Last night I went up again and felt I missed the interesting part. But you are right - not a big deal. I hope Bella is fine and her skin heals well! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I hope this is not the case but I googled “allergic reaction to Libre” and some humans have allergies to the adhesive.

I myself am allergic to Dermabond (an adhesive used during surgery or sometimes in the ER to close skin)

Yes, there are at least two options for allergies: 1. The adhesive barrier wipe made out of rosin. 2. The libre itself, there it seems to be not the adhesive but some chemicals inside the libre. If I look just at the one side I think it is option 1, because the skin irritation is on the area I applied the adhesive barrier wipe. That would be also not good but o.k., because I could still use the libre. It would just not stay on that long. The second option of course is worse. On her right side there was some swelling where the libre was placed. That might be an allergic reaction to the libre itself.

I will wait until her skin is completely healed and than I will apply a libre without the barrier wipe and we see, what happens. Binie likes to overrecact....
