Dear all, Unfortunatelly back to insulin again...
This is to inform you that after today's visit to the vet, no ketones was found but there is glucose in urine so we afraid for kidney disease...We re waiting for all results..There is stomatitis to the teeth but for the time being the veteranian doesnt believe that the increase in sugar is due to stomatitis.. She suggested to start insuline to 1.25u

What is your opinion?

I’m sorry he might need insulin again. I can’t figure out what you wrote about the food. Is the food you switched to mc or hc?

In the past ,the same canned food was low carb but the company changed the numbers to the analytical systatics and now is medium so I bought a new one which is low carb.

Why does the vet think that it is kidney disease? Glucose in the urine can be due to just diabetes.

Any kind of infection, inflammation and pain can cause BG to increase. In fact, dental issues are one of the main reasons why cats fall out of remission. The higher carb food could have contributed to that. What has the vet suggested for stomatitis? Tackling that will help get his BG regulated.

I would start with 1U and take it from there. @tiffmaxee what do you think?

Paws crossed for remission again. We have had cats go into remission more than once!
