12/1, Pookey, AMPS 202, +3 217, PMPS 211, +3 211

Good luck with the increase. :)

You also want to keep in mind meter variance when looking at BG. It can be as much as 15-20%. So 202 is pretty much the same as 230! Or 180!
Thanks Bhooma. Do you take that into account when looking at nadirs for dosing decisions? For example, nadir reading of 100. Which is basically 80. So that might actually qualify for a decrease?

I prefer to use the potential for meter variance not in analyzing one number exclusively, but when looking at the trend and as part of how the cycle is progressing, particularly into onset and nadir. Often when the +2 is lower than preshot, and certainly more than the 20% meter variance, I pay a lot closer attention to the cycle.

I tried using this logic explaining to my vet why Karo was used at 75, with 75 being the new 60 (values below 100 on the AT and probably human meters don’t use the %variance but instead a set number variance. For the AT it’s +/- 15 mg/dl under 100). She replied with a “:) no”

Haha, smiles, just no. That’s good to know though because I could see myself overthinking that in the future lol…

She’s said before if I come home and find my home has been burglarized but the only thing missing is my meters not to call the police, she has them. After my first 75 incident she mentioned the Karo might also go missing
