yesterday

She did not want to eat yesterday evening, I had to give her HC tuna in gravy at midnight so she would eat something, she was low at 53. She ate some through the night, and this morning had diarhea and vomited a huge amount of liquids and undigested food, quiche and all. She ate after that (while I was in the store looking for baby food) and she now looks a lot better. I hope we're good now.
And this morning, I tried to give her her shot but we were not in an ideal position and that was a fur shot. Well, maybe it's better, less stress this way of her going low if she keeps not eating, I guess.

Hi Cecile, I'm glad Bella feels better after vomited all that food up. Sorry about the fur shot. I hope Bella continues to eat :bighug::bighug::bighug::cat:
Thank you, Diane. She is eating right now, finishing what she left in her bowl earlier. she usually never leaves any food behind, that's a weird feeling for us! I can appreciate how lucky I am to have a cat who wants to eat, it makes everythinmg so much easier.

Wanted to make you laugh Bella is our little
GAVONE ( in Italian)

Someone who eats a whole helluva lot :p:p
@cecile & bella
Ah yes, litle piggie, that suits her :p
130 @+3, with the vomiting and fur shot, I guess she will be high today. But she looks back to normal, asking for food and moving, so we're good.
And I spent the last 2 days shampooing the carpet, so the machine is still out, easy cleaning this morning o_O

She vomited and had diarrhea again, but this time she made it into her litter box. Vomit was on a washable rug. I gave her some boiled chicken mixed with water, I did not find meat-only baby food but i will try Target now. What else can I do to help? Should I call the vet for Zofran?
She eats now, and seems hungry, so I don't think she is still nauseous, but the diarrhea and vomiting are quite a lot.

Oh no... I am sorry Bella is not feeling great. :( It is stressful when they are not eating. But as the butter might be the cause, it will go away hopefully soon. And as you said, maybe the furshot was a good thing. And her numbers are still great! Hope she is much better soon! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I hope Bella feels better, Cecile. It sounds like her system is reacting to the food she’s eaten?
Sorry about the fur shot. You kind it happens. She’s so stable she’ll recover fast.
Wishing you both a calm night as she recovers :bighug::bighug::bighug:

What is the HC you used last night? Does it have wheat in it? I presume the quiche does as well? And eggs and ? I found out Neko was allergic to wheat with soft stools, so had to switch to an HC with potatoes for carbs in it. The overdose of butter could also make for an upset tummy. Neko liked butter but just got a small piece. However, her food of choice to steal was bread/muffin or other wheat items. Cats!

For vomiting, Cerenia is better than ondansetron. You can do S. boullardi for diarrhea if that continues.

The HC I used is Solid Gold Tuna shreds in gravy, no wheat, but tapioca. The quiche had eggs, milk, cream, ham, cheese... the dough had wheat but I don't think she ate much of it. She was not sick after eating it (that was Tuesday), though, and her BG barely moved. I think it's the quantity of butter she had yesterday that made her sick.
I'll get some S. Boullardi in case it starts again. I fed her teaspoons of boiled chicken all afternoon and she did not vomit or have diarrhea since about noon, 4 hours ago. And now she is very vocal again and acting normally, so I am hoping we are good for this time, because I know it won't be the last time she steals food!
Her favorite thing to steal is chicken or turkey bones from the compost bin. And pumpkin. And pizza. And cheese, of course.

She seems OK. I just came back from the Wizard of Oz, I left right after her shot and came back at +3, that's a long one! She asked for food and ate well.
I still did not go back to her regular diet, I'll try tomorrow morning. For now it's boiled chicken, chicken broth and pumpkin. She drank water, I don't think that happened since just before she was diagnosed!

She vomited, again. 130 now at +5. I am not sure what to do. I emailed the vet this morning but she never went back to me, maybe I’ll ask my husband to call a prescription for me, if cerenia is a human drug, why not! Only half joking here.
I was thinking that maybe I should go back to a clinic, for the vet, because as much as it is great to have her come to our house, that also means that if she is not available, there is nobody, and the er costs way to much to call them often.

I hope she’s feeling better today and you reach the vet. Give Bella our love :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Any chance she has worms? Budge had them once and the only symptom was vomiting many times a day a few hours after meals.

When did she last poop? I believe constipation can also lead to vomiting.

What is the vomit like? Partly digested food?
