Edit: i found how to do the signature!!! And i made a crappy version of the spreadsheet! I feed without shooting but still really confused about ketones and changing dose so input still appreciate thank you!
I'm so confused and scared that I screwed up, and i'm in a hurry so instead of summarizing if you are able please read my previous post to see what happened yesterday. I dont know how much or what to feed, and what amount of insulin to shoot, and how all this relates to ketones.
Now i don't know what to shoot or what to feed. if he's having too much insulin, or to little? or if we should not shoot, or give him higher carb food and shoot? because i was told we want him on as less insiulin as possible, but apparently you need to treat ketones with insulin, and vet said he DID have ketones but not what they were how much or or what to do about it or anything about DKA. And at what point is ketone level an emergency? Vet said nothing about monitoring ketones at home, also need to monitor blood sugar at home, and never change dose just skip it, and sold my dry food: all which is the opposite of what I've read, so I don't know what to believe. I've done so much research but still very confused and missing important things
II'm sorry im so frazzled and that the spreadhseet and signature arent in the right format ill fix it and make more sense of this as soon as i can!! i just need to run to the store to get ketone strips so we can test him asap, i just wanted to write this because my vet is closed and none of the other vets i called will advice and ill go to emergency vet to save him but im very limited income
