Well that was quite a night :eek:
We were in greens on the Libre all night long. Fed 12.5% lamb diet or 15% FF every 30 or 60ish minutes. Exhausting as you know :coffee::coffee::coffee:

The Libre sensor finally quit this morning at 5:15 am (+11) so that was super fun :banghead:
Installed new one by 5:30 am and tested with Contour meter before feeding 12.5% and shooting.

She appears to be bouncing up now just past +1.

So between the overnight stress of her cycle and no sleep and it being Election Day today and the possible outcome, I’m stressed big time :nailbiting:

Hi Kit, thanks for the coffee and good wishes. I’m hoping she has a calm cycle today so I can recover and so can she. That was quite a night:blackeye:

I agree. Tensions are palpable:(Need to have some calm and zen in my life. Ommmmm :cat:

Wow, what a night! Sorry, your night was so stressful. I know all about them!
Butch AMPS is low too 97 Libre/73 Contour. He wants to give me the rah rah. I am not sure what to do. 20 minutes after eating 6% 79 on the Libre.

Hi Madeline, well per TR he’s not too low, right? He would need to be under 50 or 40 based on how long term he is diabetic.
Do you feel ok giving full dose or maybe slightly less if needed so but you don’t have to skip dosing??
 
Ohhh Ivy! Such drama and tension! Jack is super high this morning too...I wonder if they are picking up on all the human tension floating around out there...everyone is on edge, I know my guys pick up on my mood...but this seems to be EVERYWHERE....sending hugs, safe & steady surfing wishes and lots and lots of coffee!!! :bighug:

I gave Ivy full dose this am as she was 76 on Contour meter for reference.
Butch may bounce up or he may stay low and surf (can you monitor today?)

Good job with early voting. I did the same :)

I just did another test with the Libre. He tested 112 with being fed 6% about half an hour ago. I am going to shoot slightly less because he usually dives with the 1.75u.

Ivy took a Brief bump up but is diving again. Oy, here we go ;)

Hi Heike, yeah, it was a rough night. I do feel like a zombie today. Working and trying to push through. I will try to lie down for a 1/2 hour or so before I need to feed Ivy early this evening. Then I need to stay awake until I make sure she eats her +3 snack (around 9:30 pm or 10ish then I try to go to bed if she lets me.
I've done a great job avoiding the TV and news reports all day by working hard so trying to manage my stress level. But I am sure when we watch at dinner time my head will likely explode from the insanity :eek:

Be thankful you have an ocean in the way of our craziness:smuggrin:

So sorry you are tired and stressed today, Staci. Your night sounds exhausting -- I'm sure it was -- and then all the tension and uncertainty of today isn't helping. I am not going to watch TV tonight or even check the news online. I just can't take it.

I see Ivy bounce up today. Did you need to feed often before she went up?
Butch stayed low and surfed with me feeding every half an hour. He bounced at the +9 268. I'll see what his PMPS!
I think I am going to stick with the 1.75 skinny for now. I'll see how his cycles continue.

Hi Karen, thank you for your sweet and funny support. I needed that laugh today.

I love ALL of the imagery you proposed for calming peace. All wonderful suggestions.

I will try to avoid any stressful tv tonight past dinner. I’ve watched nothing all day intentionally.
I have a feeling we won’t know tonight anyway. I should probably take some of Ivy’s gabapentin and knock myself out :smuggrin:

Hi Diane, I’m glad you voted early too. I think it takes the pressure off of today, too. I felt relieved to get mine in early and have confirmation they received it. Plus didn’t have to go in the crowds of crazy people :facepalm:

Hi Madeline, I just gave Ivy her normal +1,2,3 feedings but she started a drop at +3 so I upped the carbs to 12% and gave one more 12% at +4 then she began a climb so I stopped feeding anything else.

I’m glad Butch surfed nicely today before a climb.
I hope he gives you a break tonight so you don’t have to be up all night either.
I know we could both use a good night sleep. Have a safe surf and calm evening.
