Hi Staci,

good to see Ivy took a little break yesterday for your time outside! And good you managed the time change, even though it sounds a bit stressful. I remember last week I also double checked everything so I don't mess up.

Hope you can get some sleep today. Sometimes I take an afternoon nap together with Binie. I see this as our shared hobby. :)

Hope you have a relaxed Sunday! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Staci,
Nice blue start for Ivy
Maybe heading south to the beach!
Hope she gets down there gently and kindly, so you can enjoy the day! ;)
Happy Sunday and wishing you and Ivy a very lovely day! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Glad to see you made it through the time change okay - I chose the "make no adjustments and just shoot an hour later for less stress" method. She seems to have done okay with it. I probably won't do that when it goes the other direction, but we'll see.
Hope you have a good Sunday! :bighug:

Hi Heike, I love your shared hobby of napping with Binie. That’s a great treat to do that. Will she sleep with you or in her own bed?
Ivy used to sleep on my bed but not anymore since her broken leg last year :(

I was so worried about nut waking up this morning I kept checking the clock. It’s interesting you had the same experience last week.
I guess we are all just worried about not messing up.

I hope you are having a nice night and had a good day with lots of Binie snuggles :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Kit,
Ivy had a few dips in the later morning today. A few tiny green dips on her Libre. Then she slowly came back up again. I was able to run out for a few quick errands.
I hope Mikan has been surfing gently today as you prepare for tomorrow.
We are sending all the best wishes for an easy and successful dental with a very quick recovery (for both of you) ❤️❤️❤️
Hope you have a nice dinner with your SD :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Alicia, you are a brave mama. I was too scared to do that. Ivy seems pretty sensitive to alternating her schedule so I followed the directions pretty carefully since Thursday.
Very glad that’s done. More of a pain than I need.
Hope Kit cat is having a calm day and you are enjoying the weekend

Hi Staci,

if Binie sleeps on her own or not depends on how she feels and how the temperatures are. If she is not well, she isolates herself and in summer she insists on sleeping outside. But if she is doing well and if it's too cold outside, she likes to sleep next to me or on my legs or stomach, which is cute but not always comfortable.

So sorry Ivy doesn't sleep in your bed anymore. :( I'm sure you tried things to make it attractive again for her? Offering snacks or just starting to bring her cat-bed close? Maybe she has to understand, that she is allowed again, after her leg healed. I hope she changes her mind one day! Obviously she enjoys and loves spending the night with you if I think about all the purring, biscuit sessions on the sofa! If we could only ask them....

Hope you have a good snuggling time with Ivy today! :bighug::cat::bighug:

I think it's more just tired and stressed and not wanting to add yet another thing than brave, honestly. But I also shot an hour late in early October because Eric and I went to dinner for his mom's birthday, and Kit didn't seem to be affected too badly by that. The shot I have to skip on Thursday will probably affect her more than the hour late, and I'm still thinking about whether or not I do a temporary decrease because a tech week is coming up, so I'm just sort of doing the thing this week. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It’s all so much to think about. Some days it makes my head explode :arghh:

But I’m glad Kit dis well last time and again today. Wishing you luck with this week for your night out, Alicia :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I’m glad Binie loves to sleep with you when she’s feeling well. That’s so nice :cat:
Ivy always slept on my feet and then during the night she would climb up on me and knead annd purr and then go back to sleeping on my feet, that was her routine.
But I’ve never been able to get her back on the bed since that’s where she broke her leg falling off of it. It’s like she has PTSD and I guess I really can’t blame her.

I’ve tried to put her on the bed and show her it’s safe. And I bought pet steps that sit next to the bed, but she has never even attempted using them. She just scratches at them.
I just feel so bad that she doesn’t want to come on the bed anymore, but I do understand how she must feel.
I’m sure she just remembers and can’t get it out of her head.
And then she started sleeping in the basement when she broke her leg because we had to keep her confined to a room where she couldn’t climb on anything so I think she just learned to sleep down there when all that happened. It was a very bad chapter that went on for several months until she was fully healed and we could let her out safely again.
Poor Ivy, she’s been through so much and yet she’s still her same personality through it all. The good, the bad, it’s all Ivy.

Hi Staci,

that is really a heartbreaking story. I didn't know that it took her leg month to heal. That must have been so hard for all of you. It is strange somehow, that she doesn't go into the bed anymore, because she does leave her room, isn't it? Just not the bed anymore? Did she broke her leg jumping from the bed or somewhere close? Maybe she would prefer a ramp over steps? Binie uses steps since many years now but I know, that some cats prefer ramps.

It's sad but I know, you two will find ways to cuddle and to be close. ❤️ And maybe she just needs more time and changes her mind one day. By the way, Binie cuddles a lot less than she used to. In the past she loved to lie on my breast, her head on my neck, when I was lying on the couch, watching something. She doesn't do this anymore. Maybe also a part of getting older. But as you said, through all these changes, the personality shines through. ❤️

Hope you had a good start in the week! :bighug::kiss::bighug:
