Happy Furrriday :)

Seems like switching back the food to the old one led to Fistuk's number falling back to greens.

He had a jump to 128 at +3 but I guess it'll take a bit for his body to clear the sugar. I wonder if the source of sugar in the AniForte for pumpkin even though it's such a small amount..

Unfortunately it means that his teary eyes are back!

The AniForte (the new food) is very good for Prince so I'll keep giving it to him. He stopped picking at his skin and pulling hair and. When I gave him the old food yesterday because I panicked about the sugar he vomited! His vomiting stopped with the new food.

Last night he woke us up and was restless. He also had two poop poop hooray, both in the morning and in evening. He normally has one every other day. So I wonder if switching back to the old food caused him a digestion irritation. Luckily it's not diarrhoea.

Happy to see Fistuk is doing ok and Prince is doing better with his allergies despite the little setbacks. I'm always amazed how sensitive their bodies are, and how different their metabolism is from each other, even when related. Great to hear that Fistuk is returning to greens with the food change. It's so hard to find something that works for everyone and everything :rolleyes:

It's so true, Christine. They're so sensitive. Fisruk and Prince have always been so very different body and health wise.
At least from this experiment I learnt that I should avoid fish. I may have found something bit higher carb but still 6% so it's in the low zone.

Fistuk had a blue day but his PMPS looks promising. I'll wait and see another day for him to process that extra sugar.
Don't they understand that our babies are sweet enough, they dont' need sugar added to their food?!

I'm happy I caught on with that quickly. I'm sorry to see his eyes with black rims again but I may have found another food that might be good for him.

I'm discovering more and more talents as a mum to a diabetic fur baby
Unfortunately the tears in his eye increased right back as we switched back to the old food. But I found an alternative that I'll try in the coming weeks:bighug::bighug::bighug:

I decide to wait with the new food for Fistuk so I can get him back to regulation again. Otherwise it can be difficult to know what influences the numbers.
But from yesterday it seems like Fistuk is ready for another food trial
