Good morning.

Mikan started out pretty nicely last night but decided to go up.
Not a bad start this morning. Hope she is ready for some good action.

As I noted yesterday, DH finally tested negative yesterday. We are waiting for another negative result today, 24 hours apart, before calling it all good for him. I'll be good in another few days. There is no sign that any of the kitties got it. Our friend and his wife are struggling. She was unable to tolerate Paxlovid. I am very worried for them. I hope her immune system can find a way to help her through this.

I’m hopeful both Mikan and Ivy come down from the yellow zone today :cat:

So glad DH is testing negative. Good wishes for another negative test today.

Sending positive thoughts for your friend’s wife. I hope she improves quickly. That’s so scary when an immune compromised person has to try to fight this virus. It’s very serious. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Looks like our girls are in sync again! Hope both will get to good action down to the beach!
Thanks for your good wishes. I'm hopeful that DH will test negative. Because he took Paxlovid, he'll have to test a few more times to make sure the rebound doesn't happen. So many testing- but I told him that look how little Mikan has been doing with all those BG tests! :smuggrin:
I will check on our friends to see how she is doing. I suspect that she will take longer to recover - I just hope it doesn't get too bad for her.

Hi Kit, oh I didn’t realize DH took Paxlovid. Good point about rebound and the need for retesting.

I hope your friend’s wife is able to fight this nasty virus, despite her compromised condition. It’s so scary for someone in her situation.

Mikan had a nice drop so far today. :rolleyes: Looks like she wants a beach day. Stay safe, sweet girl.

14% carb brought her up to 55. Hope she can stay put there. :nailbiting:

It's been wild! Our first COVID experience and it was stressful for me!
It's funny how my perception of him got warped during this time :p Hopefully, he'll look more human today!

I'm happy about your hubby, feel bad about your friend and his wife. And Ms. Mikan is certainly not helping by throwing a mojito brunch today...I hope she comes up and doesn't 'B'...sending hugs and prayers--will check back later today :bighug:

Hi Christine,
Mikan had to participate in the celebration, I guess. :rolleyes: In addition to Mojitos, she wanted to have some MC/HC gravy :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Hopefully, she will stay put for now. I'm begging her not to look for her rocket! Hope she won't launch this evening!

I know. I had to test her 3 times in the hope I may get something above 40 - she said nope! :rolleyes:
She was quite happy to slurp up those gravies though :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Looks like she'll be stable but I'll stay an hour here to check her at +8 to make sure.

I mean, it's been a rough week! Yay weekend! (REAL Friday!:p)

Yeah, COVID can still be a serious matter for some. This really reminds me of the importance of minding public health to protect those who are vulnerable.
DH is testing as I write this to see if he can get a second negative 24 hours later. If negative, we can take off our masks inside the house, although I'll ask him to test himself every other day to make sure he's not getting rebound. Apparently, rebound is generally milder than what you had, but it could also be asymptomatic :spam: Tricky virus! :mad:
