Good morning.

Mikan had a high flat yesterday all day, but that allowed me to be out of the house for several hours.
DH's symptoms were improving but he was still highly positive (big bad T line) yesterday.
My hands are dry from washing so much and I haven't realized there are so many surfaces to wipe (knobs, switches, handles, faucets etc).

For now, I'm hoping that Mikan is just steady and stable, although I would like to see more blue!

Happy Sunday and I hope everyone is having a healthy and happy day!

Good morning, Kit. Glad to hear DH’s symptoms are getting better. I’m sure you are already exhausted and it’s only day two of dealing with this. That’s a good point about how many surfaces there are touch and clean :banghead:

When my DH had it the first time I literally confined him to one room other than to go to the bathroom and or shower each day. He stayed in that room the entire time.
The second time he got it there was no way I could keep them in one room. He was not having that, so he ended up spending some time in the basement and he would come to the kitchen to eat, but we would eat it opposite ends of the kitchen.

The first time was the scariest because it was before vaccines were available. The second time we loosened things up a little bit, but I was still pretty strict because I did not wanna take any chances of getting it.

I’m sure if you’re both masking and your cleaning services and just staying apart. That’s the best you can do. And you should be fine as long as you just stay away!!

We are hoping Mikan has a gentle slide down today so that your stress level is a little bit reduced.

Hi Staci,
I'm sure the first one in 2020 was very scary. Back then, a lot of people had such hard time with it.
DH is using the guest room but it's impossible to confine him there. He just sits at the kitchen table where he can have the TV on and read (his usual spot). I have an air filter right by him going constantly. I'll probably toss the table cross and mats on that table once it's all over. Last night, I just bought in food - he ate there, and I ate in the dining room, facing AWAY from him ⠀ He was kind of oblivious at first, walking towards me to say something. But then he saw me backing away, telling him to keep the distance. I think he's finally getting the hint
His friend whom DH was with (and I suspect he was the one who gave it to DH) tested negative yesterday. So hopefully, DH will be soon, maybe a few more days.
In the meanwhile, I've got Lysol wipe in my gloved hand and going around everywhere DH may have been and clean.
Mikan's high enough so I may escape again to work today. It's a lot safer that one.

Hope you and Ivy have a wonderful Sunday! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Good meowning Kit

I'm sorry tonhear your hubby is sick. Hopefully you stay well and healthy and get through this with no issues.
Looks like Mikan is coming down already. I hope she shows you lower numbers today. It's a nice fall day for the kitties to chill on the beach.
Happy Sunday.

I think you’re doing everything right, Kit. Just stay away. I think that’s your best defense.
I Love how they walk toward us like they wanna talk to us and we’re like no, no stay back get away from me :p

When I tell you how scary it was in 2020… I used to deliver his meal to the guest room door knock and then run away.

I wouldn’t even wait for him to open the door. That’s how terrified I was at that time. it’s quite a memory, but I’ll never forget
We just didn’t know anything at that time. I was wearing a mask 24/7 and I wasn’t anywhere near him.
I was even on another level of the house but still walking around in a mask. I had no idea. We just knew nothing then. Scary times.

At least now I would be less terrified, but I would make every effort like you are doing to wipe down surfaces wear a mask can stay away. Certainly if you’re on a different level of the house, I think you’re OK.:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Hi Karolina,
It's been rough with him coming home with big bad virus!
I'm doing everything I can to protect myself and Mikan.
DH is getting better. So I'm expecting a few more days? Fingers and paws crossed!
Hope you and the boys are having a nice Sunday! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Staci,
I was wondering about the different level thing. Our house is an old Victorian house, kind of long vertically. He was on the first floor and I was on the third. I was wondering, hm, do I need to keep my mask on?
I kept it on anyway because I didn't know.

I totally understand how scared you were in 2020. That was a scary time. No vaccine. A lot of people in the hospital, even ICU.
I have a friend whose brother in law "died three times" and was in the hospital for something like 120 days. He survived but still not quite well. So sad.
You totally did the right thing - best to contain infection!
I hope I can get through this without getting it. We shall see. I'm trying to scare the virus with my Lysol power - maybe they think I'm a nasty woman and stay away :p

I can't tell you how much I appreciate your sharing your experience. It has given me hope and strength.
Sending you Lysol-wiped :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Kit I'm sorry to hear your DH has covid, but I'm glad to hear his symptoms are improving. You're doing a good job with all the precautions you're talking to keep you and Mikan safe. I hope you will see some green numbers to day :bighug::bighug:
Hi Diane,
I'm becoming such a hypochondria - every little twinge, I am like "OH NOOOOOO!"
Hopefully, this will be over soon! Mikan's not doing so hot either. but for now, I'm keeping it as is, until this crisis passes.
Hope you are enjoying your Sunday :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I hope Mikan gives you more blue soon. Hope DH keeps improving. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Hi Carla,
Yeah, it would be nice to see more of a blueish cycle for Mikan.
But for now, I don't want to change the dose, not until the COVID fiasco settles, which, I hope will come soon!
Happy Sunday and have a lovely evening:bighug::bighug::bighug:!

I’m sorry to hear about your friend’s brother. Very scary. It was a terrible time.
It was so intense at that time for us. We even had to check in with our local health department daily. They asked him lots of questions every day.

I always figured just take all the precautions. They can’t hurt and maybe can only help. Better safe than sorry.
Honestly, I’m more afraid of the long haul complications they just don’t know how they will affect survivors over time.
I’m still trying to be as careful as I can. I’m so happy to work from home on so many levels!!
You’re doing just great, Kit.
Keep the Lysol handy :bighug::bighug::bighug:

It's hard to believe that it was just 4 years ago. That was such a rough time.
I just learned another person who was with DH's group got positive. I'm very worried because his wife is very immune compromised.
She's paraplegic and had a stroke recently that left her with minimal function of her left arm.
I'm hoping that they can get the home health quickly to help her out while he recovers.
Although a lot of people act like COVID is no big deal, for some, it can be devastating.
Best to be safe and cautious, Staci, for us and for those whose health is fragile.

I have become such a hypochondria  Every little twinge, every little anything makes me worry!
I can't wait to clear this mess!

At least, Mikan started nicely this evening. Let's see what she can do!
Hope you are having a lovely and peaceful evening! :bighug::bighug::bighug:
