? 9/24 Pudge oh boy ~ 66 and only +2.5 (again..).. AMPS 168 +2.5 66 +2.75 54 +3.25 53/56 +3.5 59 +3.75

O.k., breath. As we haven't the attention of the admins so far - I try to share the information I found. Here is the sticky, it also says to give treats and food:

I understood that it is important not to give too much at once. You want to keep Pudge hungry, as it is still early in the cycle. And higher carb wet food lasts longer than syrup, so try to give wet food. And try to stay calm. You will manage with food.

Edit: I didn't saw Sienne post, so double info.

Ah, I just saw in your ss, you are already experienced with low numbers. Great! You will manage. Please keep us updated! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

well hes 60….. can stop syrup and do LC?? idk :/ @Heike & BInie :bighug:

I'm sorry, I'm not experienced enough to answer this specific question. If it were me and Binie, I think I would rather try medium carb. Or low carb with a litte syrup to stir up the carbs. But that is really no expert advice, that's what I would do in that situation.

Another idea: You could also post in the Facebook group of the forum. Sometimes it seems to be easier to get a quick answer.
tysm :) no understand!! directions say once numbers kinda flat, same w consecutive tests.. can just feed snacks to keep numbers up.. maybe will add a drop or two then frm there LC.. (?) guess will do.

now im not sure on dose.. keep this one? or reduce?
thinking have to keep but..

did try not giving HC/MC when saw the 66.. but then just went down to 54…… woof! :arghh: know reductions only earned if drops under 50.. (or under 100 i think for 7 straight days..) but i stopped it (tried) from doing that haha. it was just under hour 3.. but idk. just glad i caught it!!!…. :/ even had to miss a few full doses, and a dose yesterday, trying to get back on track. o_O:rolleyes: is that a reason?.. or this has also happened before and he got all his doses so idk. :)

could reduce by a smidge?.. but know it quarter increments here. hes on a custom dose tho anyway.. but idk. i know the method here is quarter increments.. but would going down like half that be ok to try IF needed? (ie. 4.3 mm is pretty much 3.25 Ui believe.. 4.4 would be around 3.33 U.. yeah. :cat: just want to ask.. cuz the numbers are really great really.. i know.. but understand if the method is the methods. also from his dose, 3.4 goes down to 3.15.. (.25 reduction..) etc. Right? appreciate any tips..)

Hope you can keep Pudge steady. :bighug::bighug::bighug: I'm sure one of the experts will answer your dosing questions! I'll go to bed now (already 11:30 pm here). Hope everything works out fine. You did a fantastic job for Pudge!

You asked:
is the idea to have waited today to let it go down past 50?..

I’m answering on today’s post as it’s getting confusing. I haven’t even read this one yet, lol. So my opinion is no, don’t let him drop under 50. Try to guide him to stay above and surfing green as long as possible. That’s healing time for the pancreas . Now if you have a hard time keeping him over 50 with lots of hc you might consider a decrease .
