I’m overwhelmed. Doing my best to work full time and also learn as much and as fast as I can about kitty diabetes. My immediate concern is whether or not Batman should be receiving any insulin. I don’t have a spreadsheet yet, but he is wearing a Libre3 and this was his curve yesterday. He has not had insulin since 9/4 AM (2nd curve attached). The 9/4 PM feeding was his 1st low carb meal.

Would you dose your kitty with these numbers? He is much, much lower than a week ago due to diet changes. Thank you.

Welcome TJ Penn, you are in the right place I will tag an expert on ProZinc she will need to know what dose and how many times a day, I just shot my Corky 1.25u with 87 BG, please do understand the Libre is not very accurate in reading low BG's, or accurate at all, and they do tend to stop working before the 14 days, fall off or removed by your kitty, perhaps you might want to use what most of us member use the human monitor we most use the ReliON Premier and strips, very reliable and so inexpensive unlike the Libre sensors and strips are outrageously expensive, and you do not need a Pet monitor either any human monitor will do, I will tag our ProZinc expert. my Corky also uses ProZinc a very good insulin for cats that lasts 12 hours, you can see Corky's Spreadsheet down below by clicking on the blue Corky's spreadsheet, actually the best numbers for the pancreas are the blue and green numbers, that is done slowly by increasing or reducing the dose, I am sure Suzanne will contact you as soon as she can, don't worry before you know it, your kitty will be floating on the right BG number we are here to help you along, no concern is too small, one of us will always be here for you:bighug::cat::cat:

Thank you for the encouragement. I admire the care you are giving Corky. Does everyone test every 2 hrs? Batman is black (of course, lol!) and we have a very difficult go at it when we try to do curves for the vet. We can’t see the veins and it’s difficult to see the blood droplets. We didn’t know until I found this board that it should be done daily.

Did you see my questions to your post on the ProZinc forum. I'm going to have to go offline soon and was hoping to get a little more info. In fact, I'm going to sign off this computer and switch to my phone now. It's almost 8 p.m. here and we haven't eaten dinner yet so I will be on and off. I look forward to talking with you over on the ProZinc forum where I've been trying to check in and catch up with my ProZinc people. :-)

Actually, I am a Habitual tester, and I am home almost 24/7, Corky and Coco are my babies, family everything, and Corky sometimes has a habit of changing his attitude,(Ha), about where he want to be in his level, and most important you need to test before you shoot in other words on AMPS/PMPS, regarding seeing the vein, it must be difficult with the black hair, but I have a small flashlight I place in my mouth, and a small sock with raw rice ,knotted to look like a ball, you place the ball in the inner ear after you look on the other side where the vein is eventually, his vein will swell a bit and you will blindly know where it is, I use the flashlight to see the drop of blood. and Corky is a Taby
