Starting a new thread since my previous one got so long. @Suzanne & Darcy tagging you because you’ve been so helpful.

Would you wait until after I do a curve Saturday to up him? When will you be able to do a curve? I think he needs an increase to 3.5, but we don’t have as much data as we need for the middle/later portion of his cycles on the 3.25 dose.
Okay. Just get what you can even on Saturday. The more we can fill in the checkerboard the better. I hate to see him in pinks and reds, although it looks like he is sometimes dipping into yellow.I am off Saturday (but have a bday party from 1-3) and will be off Monday and Tuesday as well.
530am/530pmWhat is his shot time?
Yes.So you could get a 7:30, 9:30 and 11:30 test on Saturday? That would be +2, +4, and +6.
You know. He is so darn high that I would increase as soon as possible. Thanks for trying to get some tests today. So you will be home again on Monday and Tuesday?@Suzanne & Darcy I have checked him 3 times so far today. He is mid bounce I believe. Yesterday morning he was at a good number that didn’t last long. Would you go ahead and up him or should I wait until tomorrow pm shot since I’ll be home for 2 days after that. Ketones were 0.2 when I checked yesterday.
Oh wow. Definitely looks very familiar. I hope we can get kitty kitty figured out. That does give me hope!!Look at Sir Maximus’ spreadsheet. Just look at the beginning of this year. Sir Maximus started to turn the corner in March of this year and then… look at him now. He’s on a small dose now and spends most of his time in green. We just kept at it, right @Shawn & Sir Maximus ? I think Shawn had his doubts for a while as to whether he was ever going to stop bouncing!

I’m sorry about your other cat. I am in the same boat with multiple cats and I know exactly what you’re going through. My cats frequently do this to me and get sick at the same time, too. I hope your kitty will be okay!!Yes I am home tomorrow too. I was hoping to get more test today but we spent most of the day at the vet with another sick baby. (Cats are gonna be the death of me lol) hopefully tomorrow will be calmer and I can get several test in.
Yes I definitely had some days wondering if he would ever stop bouncing. I never gave up hope and stayed consistent, and with all of your guidance we finally got him regulated. It took about 4 months. Have too stay positive and consistent. It is quite the journey but worth every moment when you start seeing the great results for your kitty.Look at Sir Maximus’ spreadsheet. Yay thank you!!Hi. I am here. Just give me a minute.
Some of the food was eaten but not sure by who. It was 15% I believe. I actually already fed him. I imagine since he was 130 when I left he would be going up on his own. Would that be correct?I think he's going to bounce up from those blues. Can you not feed him and wait 30 minutes to see if he's going up on his own? Or do you have to shoot right away? Did he eat the food you left out today? What was the carb percentage of the food?
Okay, well the 130 was only at +4 so I looked at that earlier today and thought... he will continue to go down (but not dangerously because he was not having a steep drop at all) to at least +6 or even +8. His nadirs usually are between those times. He gets absolutely fantastic duration on ProZinc. Some of the food was eaten but not sure by who. It was 15% I believe. I actually already fed him. Well, that's the food that has given him a little bump and also the fact that the previous shot is wearing off. Will you be able to monitor him tonight and to give a snack at +2 and perhaps another snack at +4 or a little later?Just tested again and at 181.
Yes. I can watch him all night if needed. I have been giving him a snack at +3 each day since you suggested. It works best with my work schedule to do it that wayWell, that's the food that has given him a little bump and also the fact that the previous shot is wearing off. Yes I can do that. I have everything I need if he drops too lowSince you can monitor him. I would go ahead and give the 3.5 units. I know it's nerve wracking. Do you think you can do that. You may find it's all much ado about nothing because he may have a big spike in BG even by +2.
That's great, Megan. You're a champ. I will check his spreadsheet in a couple of hours and post here if you have any concerns.Yes I can do that. I have everything I need if he drops too low
thank you so much! This is giving me hope! That's great, Megan. You're a champ. I will check his spreadsheet in a couple of hours and post here if you have any concerns.
Yes thankfully. They thought it was bobcat fever at first but he’s gotten better and his bloodwork was perfect! Is your other cat continuing to improve?
Wow. That's scary. Then what do they think was wrong with him. Is he on a monthly flea/tick preventative (since that's a tick-borne illness) -- you said he goes outside.Yes thankfully. They thought it was bobcat fever at first but he’s gotten better and his bloodwork was perfect!
It has been ordered. Hes technically a feral cat that has adopted us. He’s kinda become part of the family now lolWow. That's scary. Then what do they think was wrong with him. Is he on a monthly flea/tick preventative (since that's a tick-borne illness) -- you said he goes outside.
I love that. I take care of a lot of ferals and have adopted a few as well.It has been ordered. Hes technically a feral cat that has adopted us. He’s kinda become part of the family now lol
