8-29-24 Tyler Crossed The Rainbow Bridge On Monday 8-26-24 AND UDATE ON MY SURGERY YESTERDAY

Hi my family. As some of you know Tyler had SCL and I decided not to treat it. He was doing good , I was giving him B-12 and probiotics, the diarrhea got better and he was still eating and was happy. On Monday morning I noticed that after he would meow it sounded like he was blowing out air. Then he really wasn't interested in food. I called the ER that I took Tyler to when he was blocked and the vet said it sounded like he might have some trouble breathing. I decided to take him there and help him cross the Rainbow Bridge.
He was so boney and I didn't want him to suffer. It was very strange that we got the same vet to help him pass that we had when he was blocked. I held him and told him that I loved him so much and I was sorry. He was buried in my sister's back yard along with Perry's ashes who was his brother and my other cat Jake's ashes.
It may sound weird but him getting diabetes brought us closer. He was such a good boy when it came to testing and giving him the insulin. He was not a cuddler but I would pick him up and put him on the bed with me on my chest and stroke the side of his face and boy did he love it. He would kiss me on my nose and forehead. Now I'm crying again. I can't thank Marje, Wendy, Sienne, Suzanne,Bron, Bhooma, Elise and Carla for all the advice you gave me to get Tyler into remission. It was 3 years and 4 months.
I know he was ready to pass.
I keep putting on the kitchen faucet thinking he was still here .
I just didn't have the money to treat him for the SCL. When I think back I remember in March that he was getting a little thin around his back area and thought it was just old age ,so I bet you that was the start of it. He was 16 and 5 months old.
I loved him so so much even though he would attack my ankles after I got done cutting his nails. He was very vocal this last month . I called him Boo Boo .
I know I haven't been on here lately but I have been checking in on all the kitties. I am having shoulder surgery tomorrow ,I have a tear . Really not looking forward to it , but I can't stand the pain anymore. I will check in with all of you later on . I hope all of your kitties are doing good and sending prayers if they are not feeling well.
I miss all of you

Ohhh Diane, I was just going to send you a note to see how Tyler was doing. I have been thinking about you guys. I'm so so sorry to read this. You did the absolute best you could for him, made the most difficult selfless decision, and gave Tyler the loving and dignified path onward. I am sending you so much love, so many hugs, and crying along with you. There just aren't any good words. I hope your surgery goes well, and you have a quick recovery. Please reach out if you need anything- I'm not that far from you. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Aww thank you my friend , I miss him so. Thanks for the well wishes for my surgery. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Get this been having pain in my hip and groin so I went for an MRI with contrast ,they injected it into my hip. I got the report and it says I have a tear and a small cyst , I looked it up about the cyst and it said it usually is there because of the tear. I see the other surgeon next week to go over everything with me. He only does hip replacements, so I would have to see another surgeon to do that. He did give me his name. That I can put off ,it does hurt but no way am I going to have another surgery right away. I'll see what the Dr says next week.

HI Diane, I was thinking about both of you and was going to check in with you, like Christine. I am so very sorry to hear about Tyler. You did such a wonderful job caring for your sweet and feisty, lovable boy. I love your kisses with him and his biting your ankles. It gives us such a good picture of his spunky spirit.

Ivy and I are sending you lots of hugs and good wishes for a successful surgery tomorrow. Hoping it goes easily and your recovery is fast and will reduce your pain.
We will be thinking of you and sending healing vibes your way.

Sending you big hugs for healing on all fronts, Diane. We are crying along with you :(
With much love,

Oh, gosh, Diane, your post brought fresh tears to my eyes. I know. I know. I know. I know how much you loved and cared for Tyler in addition to all you've had come your way this past while. You are so kind, compassionate and brave to let Tyler go when it was his time. Be free now, Tyler. Eddie and Blue welcome you. Diane, all best thoughts for your surgery. Be gentle with yourself. I cannot emphasize that enough. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

My dearest friend, I am so sorry for your loss.
You were such a wonderful mom to Tyler and gave him the best life he could have.
I wish I were closer and could give you hugs. I know nothing can ease your pain right now.
Just know that you are my thoughts.

Hope all goes well with the shoulder surgery. It takes time to recover, but you will recover. Be patient ( now I'm saying it...) and do physical therapy religiously!

Will be thinking of you. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thank you Bron. You are all family to me
I hope the surgery goes well too , it better
I'm pretty sure I will have to be in a sling for 2 weeks and that's going to stink. I'll probably be calling my sister every 5 minutes to come over and help me with something lol.
Then physical therapy will start.
What's the next body part to go lol :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Here is another surprise
Get this been having pain in my hip and groin so I went for an MRI with contrast ,they injected it into my hip. I got the report and it says I have a tear and a small cyst , I looked it up about the cyst and it said it usually is there because of the tear. That I can put off ,it does hurt but no way am I going to have another surgery right away. I'll see what the Dr says next week, then maybe after 3 weeks or so I'll just go and see the surgeon that repairs tears and see what he has to say
I'm falling apart ladies lol
What's the next body part to go.
How the hip and shoulder problems happened I have no idea.

((((Diane)))) I’m so sorry you had to let Tyler go. It takes such strength and courage to make that decision when it’s absolutely the last thing we want to do. :bighug:

I hope your surgery goes well. Please post an update when you can and let us know how you’re doing. I’ll be thinking about you.

Oh no, I pop in here from time to time and today, I see this thread from earlier this week, the thread I never wanted to see.

So sorry Diane, I don't have the words for how much it hurts to see this, you have given so much to the people and kitties here, including me and Hen, and you don't deserve this pain and loss. Of course, deserve has nothing to do with it.

tears rolling down my face as I type this out, and not a tissue box in sight

:arghh:
