Hi my family. As some of you know Tyler had SCL and I decided not to treat it. He was doing good , I was giving him B-12 and probiotics, the diarrhea got better and he was still eating and was happy. On Monday morning I noticed that after he would meow it sounded like he was blowing out air. Then he really wasn't interested in food. I called the ER that I took Tyler to when he was blocked and the vet said it sounded like he might have some trouble breathing. I decided to take him there and help him cross the Rainbow Bridge.
He was so boney and I didn't want him to suffer. It was very strange that we got the same vet to help him pass that we had when he was blocked. I held him and told him that I loved him so much and I was sorry. He was buried in my sister's back yard along with Perry's ashes who was his brother and my other cat Jake's ashes.
It may sound weird but him getting diabetes brought us closer. He was such a good boy when it came to testing and giving him the insulin. He was not a cuddler but I would pick him up and put him on the bed with me on my chest and stroke the side of his face and boy did he love it. He would kiss me on my nose and forehead. Now I'm crying again. I can't thank Marje, Wendy, Sienne, Suzanne,Bron, Bhooma, Elise and Carla for all the advice you gave me to get Tyler into remission. It was 3 years and 4 months.
I know he was ready to pass.
I keep putting on the kitchen faucet thinking he was still here .
I just didn't have the money to treat him for the SCL. When I think back I remember in March that he was getting a little thin around his back area and thought it was just old age ,so I bet you that was the start of it. He was 16 and 5 months old.
I loved him so so much even though he would attack my ankles after I got done cutting his nails. He was very vocal this last month . I called him Boo Boo .
I know I haven't been on here lately but I have been checking in on all the kitties. I am having shoulder surgery tomorrow ,I have a tear . Really not looking forward to it , but I can't stand the pain anymore. I will check in with all of you later on . I hope all of your kitties are doing good and sending prayers if they are not feeling well.
I miss all of you
