A relatively active morning this morning - because of course it is. I have our fall Faculty Conference starting at +3.5, and have to swing by my building to grab a couple things before I have to go there, so I'll need to leave by +3.

I woke up around 3:45 (+9.75) to the sounds of Kit vomiting. Lots of water. Maybe a little fur. So I went ahead and tested and was a bit surprised to see 287, but maybe it's a bounce from some good numbers. She's dropped pretty steadily since then. Eric will be home in case she needs to be fed after I leave. I'm hoping she steadies out. Although worse case scenario I'll have him feed MC or HC to abort the cycle for the morning.

I hope folks have a good Friday.

Hope Kit surfs safely and your faculty meeting isn't too bad (I hated those- waste of time better spent preparing my classroom and lesson plans)
A lot of today is about AI in the classroom, which we had issues with in our class in the spring. But I also like to know the gossip that staff doesn't usually get to know (I'm a dual appointment faculty and staff now lol)

Hope your day is going well with the meetings and info gathering for the start of a new year, Alicia.
Sorry about that pukey wake up call. Never a good sound!
Looks like a nice cycle today for Kit.
I hope she’s surfing well for Eric.
Have a calm night :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks, Staci - the AI sessions were interesting. It's all interesting how different departments might use it, but also how we differentiate in how we don't want it used. And then we talked to SO MANY FIRST YEARS about possible job opportunities in the department at our new student job fair. I always have a bit of a sore throat after that.
She did good while I was gone, and I'm glad I didn't have him feed anything after I left, other than maybe some freeze dried treats. And now to settle in and work on a syllabus!

Yikes, meetings. I despise meetings. Can anything get done with meetings, ever? :rolleyes:
But I imagine the AI stuff is everywhere now and schools have to come up with some policies to help deal with it.
Looks like a mellow AM cycle. Hope she continues the steady course with :D:D:D

She decided to surprise me with a green preshot. Which I guess explains why she's been mrrping at me for the last two hours (I gave her some freeze dried treats, but decided not to test her at +11 - now I wish I had). So maybe an active evening? She even got up and walked to where her food dish goes as I was walking to it, instead of me needing to let her sniff the bowl and then she walks over.

Sometimes meetings are important. But I could have probably skipped this one and just had my colleague tell me how it went. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
