I was really hoping she wouldn't drop this low again before I got more Nova Max strips since Contour gives errors when she's this low. I have TWO Nova Max strips left. I gave MC (15%) at +2 and will give some more at +2.5 and then test her at +3 so I don't run out of strips too early.

We're only on cycle 5 since we reduced so this cycle is still possibly influenced by the depot of the higher dose. Do I still count it as 1 drop below 50 (out of 3 drops under 50 for long term diabetics) towards earning reductions?

She's up to 60 at +3. I also found some more Nova Max test strips. I was looking to see if I had any ReliOn strips (I do but they're expired) and found the 10 strip tube that came with the Nova Max meter. I'm not sure if I've used any from it but there are at least 5 strips in there! I'm still going to try to conserve them until the 200 strips I ordered get here. I'll also pick up some ReliOn strips after work today just in case.

Since this is cycle 5 on this dose, it's safe to assume that the higher depot is out of the picture and what you are seeing is the effect of the 3U depot. For long term diabetics, the reduction point is 40. However, it's possible she has flipped a switch (post the dental) and wants to head lower in dosing. Rather than use 15% to prop her numbers up, you can try another reduction.

I thought that it was 1 time under 40 or 3 separate days under 50, am I mistaken? This is where I got that from:

Since I'm low on strips that can read below 50 I will go ahead and try the reduction. I can always go back up if her numbers increase.
