Mac is currently at 41. I fed him LC and will wait 10 min test.

Previous info: Mac is currently at 53 down 15 minutes past normal shot time down from 60 15 minutes ago.

If anyone is up I would appreciate any advice. Mac was 335 last night at +4 so felt ok going to bed. This morning I awoke to a AMPS of 60. I retested to make sure it was accurate and it was even lower at 53. His shot time could have been around 7:00 and I can stall until 7:30 probably. Will test again shortly to see if he has gone up and down. Looks like he didn't eat much through the night. If he goes below 60 what kind of a shot do I give him. He is sensitive to food and I could feed him and I believe he will go up.

I just fed him LC because he fell to 41 and I can monitor.
He seems to be one of those cats that nadirs at the end of the cycle when clearing a bounce. With such cats, caregivers just get used to shooting low preshots (not below 50 though!). Next time, don't stall without food, since numbers can keep dropping without food.

Can you get a test 15-20 mins after you fed him to see where he is?

at about 12 minutes he went up to 45. Should I continue to feed or just test. How long can we wait to shoot and should it be same dose?

OK he is 55 now. Should I go ahead shoot full dose. I can monitor. I am ok doing it. as he is carb sensitive and if he dives I will just give him MC/HC.
Are you using 40 as a reduction point since he is a long term diabetic?

And yes, you can feed a little more and shoot the full dose. Please get a +1 and +2? Don't fill him up so that he will eat for you every hour, if needed.

Please take off the "URGENT - Low AMPS shooting advice" from the title? Thanks! :-)

OK. I syringe feed him if I need to get food into him.

Thanks for your help. Will keep you updated.

I remember those days so well. Good job shooting! Cats have a way of ruining our schedule. :cat::D
HAHA! I was wondering do I have to wait the full 12 hrs for the evening shot or can I give evening shot a bit earlier (15 min) to try to start get back on track time wise?
