Watson has had runny poops since July 6th. So far we've tried Fortiflora, Forastor, Metronidazole from the vet + Florastor, vet adding fortiflora to the florastor, Visbiome (which I was greatly over-dosing him on as I didn't know cat dosages, and no psyllium husk powder. Stopped visbiome for a couple days (due to those large doses) and will start again tomorrow along with the psyllium powder. Also tried plain chicken which he refused to eat. He is a very fussy eater.
My vet has also suggested maybe trying Tylosin antibiotic. He has no other signs of infection and is an indoor cat only.
Wondering if anyone has ever used Tylosin? I'm thinking of just trying the Visbiome along with the psyllium power for a few more days before added an antibiotic.. Any thoughts?

Hi Rosie, I have used this before when Ivy had loose stools several years ago. I keep it in the house just in case - it worked very well.
Hope you find a good solution!

I was given tylosin for a cat years ago. I was told to just sprinkle it in his food. He would not eat. Dogs will. It must taste nasty.

The only time I gave Tylosin, I had to put it in capsules and it didn't do much for the cat.

I highly recommend doing one change at a time. That way you can see what works, and what doesn't.

Thanks. I think I’m gonna stick with the Visbiome (in the correct dosage, of course, lol) and add in the psyllium husk powder and try those for a while before I add any more antibiotics
