Hoping for a blue surf today.

I think getting him used to steady blues is better than going green in the beginning. he seems to bounce less time after blues. Hope I didn't just jinx it. :)

Update: Yay! He hit blue at +4 . Blue streak bounces appear to take only 2-3 cycles to clear. He might have been blue last night, but I was so tired couldn't get a +5

Update: Made it into Lower Greens.. didn't expect that.

My question is if Mac stays above 40 it is only because I steadfastly tested and fed him frequently (mainly LC) during that period for a 2 hr period. I think he would have gone under 40 if not managed with food from +6 to +8. So how do you determine if that means he needs a dose reduction?? do you not manage and just let it go below 50/40 before you start feeding LC/MC? I finally fed him MC at +7.25

If you have to feed tons of hc then it’s a signal he needs a reduction. If lc or mc then no.

You want to feed and keep him over 40. If he really wants a reduction it will happen. The more time in green, The more used to normal bg and less bouncing usually. This is a really good cycle.

I wouldn't reduce yet. It was a short but lovely stretch of green. More please Mac! :D

As Elise said, LC or MC are fine for steering. If he goes below 40 or won't come easiiy with HC, he needs that reduction.

Thanks for the continued help with finessing the lower BG's. I was really surprised with the low greens today. Thought he might surf low blues! He showed me :).
