hello!!

how often should be feeding/snacks everyday?..

mine grazes/eats when needs mostly.. gets fed every few hrs if am able (home), food gets left out if not, gets snacks.. but i try to keep it to the numbers of cans.. but because of trying to manage the hunger that comes w this atm.. kinda eats whenever. but isnt always asking for food now :cat:.. so when should i be feeding?.. generally? offering snacks? been doing every few hours (2-4..) but think might not be necessary.. (?) but definitely every 4-5 might.. or idk.

obviously for us biggest meals are PS.. how many small meals/snacks? also trying to combat ketones.. keep something in the tummy for time being.. (?) tho understand once at certain nadirs dont need to.. (??) need to find this.. anyway.

But yes. :) whats a good feeding schedule considering managing this, whats maybe best? Do i wait sometimes for him to ask, on top of a regular schedule? Or is what doing fine, ecid? :bookworm:

Hi, all cats are different, my Corky as advised eats to big meals ex. 1cn of Fancy Feast always 0-9% carbs of course, for AMPS/PMPS and two small meals 2-3 tbsp in between, so every 6 hours if you look at his spreadsheet, down below where his name is in blue/spreadsheet and see remarks, that's how both of my cats feed, and Corky is a big eater and he's quite satisfied, it's really up to your cat and what you are feeding him/her, before Corky was diagnosed, he always had the dry food out he grazed when he felt like it, but now I monitor his food, Corky adapted quickly, then again I feed them at the same time always, they both know when it's time before I do, Hope this can help:bighug::bighug::cat::cat:

I myself for Corky while he’s eating I just sneak behind me ( he’s used it already) and I pick up the tent(fold) and shoot, doesn't even notice

oh no! loll i meant he gets ready for them, and hes waiting for me.. haha. but right! thats what to do in that instance :D

we do same. o_O sometimes tho.. my nerves get me and i delay.. trying not to do that haha

Ideally, you don't want to feed your cat past nadir. Once the insulin starts wearing off, giving food/snacks may raise blood glucose levels. Pudge's nadir isn't all that easy to figure out, though. I would be sure to not give food 2 hours prior to shot time and if you're going to provide a snack later in the cycle, I'd make sure it's something that has no carbs (e.g., a piece of chicken or a freeze dried protein).

i see! ok i still am keeping the no food past 2 hrs time ~ to make sure the number is more accurate.. still keep this?? and no it kinda isn’t is it.. haha..womp. :/

i have heard this tho.. to withhold food later in the cycle.. as insulin goes.. but i sort feed until 2 hr mark; hes been hungry in the past but w time am hoping to space tuings out more..

and oh hes on LC everything.. treats too. :cat:
