7/14 Pudge AMPS 318 +1 324 +2 272 +5 194 +8 194 PMPS 272 +1 292 +6 211

Last night's skip could mean Pudge stays a little higher for a couple of cycles. Start with a +2 then decide if you need to test more or if you can go an do something other than feline diabetes for the day :)
oh man thats right.. ugh. ok well. if my thought process is there.. is a +2 worthwhile since there was a skip? or 1s/2s tell you how food affects/and just if rising?….

woof. i am consumed a little lately it feels like yes.. omg right lol since hitting greens really… but i love him so haha. but will do me good. was JUST thinking i need to get bacK to some regular things… thanks. :bighug: i need break and to chill too.. so does he.

was thinking today might just do the outer tests, then maybe a 6.. 9.. idk. cause his number was decently high right.. should be ok… :bookworm:

YES!!! the +2, a typical onset for Lantus, can show you where the cycle is heading. From the Basic's Sticky:
"+2 - Often similar to the PreShot number. Onset begins around +2 for most cats. You'll probably see an active cycle if the +2 is the same/similar OR lower than the preshot number. Continue testing!"

Lets see the +2 then you'll be able to get a handle on the rest of the cycle ;)

+2 is 272…… is this interesting?.. is that early onset or..?

That's really good! Feed a little LC, like a tsp, then check back maybe at +4 or +5. How does that sound?
omg thank u i was freaking out.. :arghh::arghh:.. like is that too much or???… he got fed a small meal lol o_O.. tbh he grazes/free feeds.. he gets multiple small meals/snacks.. i always leave food out if gone.. then big meals for shot time.. will do a +5?.. seems to be nadirs generally tho idk. :bighug::bighug:

guess it ok to get out for a little bit (1 hr-1.5 hr)?? we really need food…. :nailbiting:

just fed myself.. ugh.

hii not me getting to the store and no stock when it said they had some online :woot:……

+5 194 :cat::cat::cat:..

Nice recovery from the skip!

Sorry about the food! Did you find some elsewhere? At least chewy is quick, if you can make it for a couple days.

In regards to higher carb foods (yesterday), I know Pudge has sensitivities,… is it just specific protein sources? does he need to stick with Turkey and Rabbit (I believe those are the two you’ve mentioned before), or can he have something with tuna too? Because our 2nd cat is eating the leftover higher carbs when Cooper doesn’t need them, I’ve looked around for stuff I was ok buying as part of her diet too. There’s several Weruvas in the medium carb range, but most combine Tuna with another protein (at least one is tuna and turkey). I’ve also been buying a Weruva 8-9% that’s lamb, which comes in handy compared to the Merrick @4%.

Even if those aren’t ok proteins for him, you might check the food chart and see if anything in your preferred brands, or proteins, would fit as a higher option? Even if you found one food higher than his current ones, it might be nice to know that’s an option for you to use. :)

thanks for this! well far as i know he had some upset tunny a few years ago and when changed his food and experimented once or twice, just found turkey to be the one rn. id like to some more experimenting because its restrictive right… but afraid this not the time. haha :/ would like to try tho.. ugh. so because of this i posted how to make your LC food MC and HC :cat: using syrup drops and got some great tips. it also says on the stickie if theres a sensitive stomach you can add syrup and make MC/HC based off number if drops too.. so eh. :woot: heard my raw honey is fine.

Did try going down the list.. but.. ugh. everything has multiple protein unless its limited or can find just turkey. mostly have done google search and found turkey only foods; some good ones too in addition to Merrick, but we like Merrick rn... :cat: changing food too much if can help it..
