? Is it possible that one bottle of strips is reading too high?

I've been using the AlphaTrak3 and ran out of strips at the end of June. I had a new bottle ready to go that I got from Chewy so I set it up/calibrated with the right code. It's been giving almost all blues which is unusual for Lily. Of course there might be health issues going on so I took her in for a check up and things look okay, although we didn't run bloodwork.

I tested this morning and got 107 and decided to use my dad's human meter a few minutes later (OneTouch Verio Flex) and got a reading of 64. That's green so I'm not sure which meter is right. Should I purchase a ReliOn meter to compare further? Is there a chance these strips are running too high?

I have tried several meters, including the Libre2and sensors, I personally love the ReliOn Premier and the ReliOn Premier strips, I find them to be very effective reading the BG, I would feel confident in the reading aside from the fact that they are inexpensive;):cat::cat:

The Alphatrak generally, but not always, run a little higher than human meters. It's only a good meter comparison if you use the same blood drop for both tests, but you said there was some time in between. Pet meter range for normal BG goes into the blues and your AT tests have been low blues. I wouldn't buy yet another meter unless you want to toss the AT and go for a human meter with cheaper test strips.

Yes we've exclusively used the AT3 and gotten greens maybe 90% of the time, so these consistent blues, even if very low or on the edge of green, are concerning to me. I might buy a ReliOn anyways and potentially switch over.

She's been a little lower energy but high appetite and hasn't been playing at her usual times. The vet we had a check up with said things look normal - chest x-rays seen by a radiologist actually said her lungs look totally normal despite previous vets always noting mild asthma. And her stool sample came back good as well. I did catch her panting a little bit when she came back inside the house but it's also really hot outside.

I might end up taking her in for some bloodwork because I think something's not being caught. Hopefully I'm just being overly cautious!
