Hello,
here is yesterday:

https://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/07-02-eddie-amps-232-8-410-pmps-434-8-371.291757/

About the Budesnoside dose the IM vet says
"I do not know the answer to your Budesonide question. I do not know if you will reach therapeutic level as the dose decreases."
He also said,
"Pharyngeal dysphasia patients I have seen had ‘choking-like behavior’. Fluoroscopy is diagnostic tool of choice."
Spoke with Canada West and they are thinking better to go with CT/MRI first and then fluoroscopy if indicated.
Anyone have any thoughts either way? @Wendy&Neko
Eddie still up and about even though we are doing the routine. In fact, I was vacuuming this afternoon and he stalked the vacuum, like Blue used to do.

Good Eddie report today.:)

Any answer to my question of yesterday in how many mg in his daily dose of budesonide?

I would leave diagnosis to the specialists (vets). My father had some dysphasia, his symptoms were not what you describe Eddie doing.

Hi, yes, sorry, it's 1mg/ml and he's taking 0.5ml.

So his dose is 0.5 mg, which is a little low. Typically cats start around 1.0 mg, as did Neko. After a while we took it down to 0.75 mg. She was smaller than Eddie. As I mentioned before, dosage is based on body surface area.

We don't know if budesonide is causing his numbers to go up. Even if they were, with a medically necessary drug that impacts the BG, we'd change the dose to compensate.

I guess we'll at least have the ocular proof of something when we go to Canada West next Wednesday. Again, Eddie is doing his thing around the house. Tonight I got him to eat some of his dinner from a spoon held up to his mouth, the position of which seemed to help.
