Good morning.

Bounce girl last night - pink start with yellow flats.
Hectic day yesterday with a flat tire (nail!) when I had several places I had to get to
Then the washer machine decided to go wonky
Life happens, but every little thing can get complicated with the timing of testing and insulin shots.
At least the flat tire is fixed - those young men at the local little tire shop were so nice. Took about 15min and ma'am, it's done. No charge - we take care of you. Wow. They don't even know me from Adam. I sure will go back there for my tire needs in the future!

Wishing you a lovely Saturday!

Ugh. What a day, Kit. I’m sorry you went through all of that :banghead:

I had the same nail in tire thing 2 times last year in a short time. (Going past a new construction housing development). Twice!!!
It’s really a big inconvenience, isn’t it. But so glad you had a great experience to get it fixed and quickly. Now that’s a repair shop I would frequent also.

Sorry about the washer on top of everything. It seems like when it rains it pours:banghead:

I’ll bet today your sweet little girl is going to make up for yesterday’s cycle. I think she’s gonna want catch up to her friend Ivy, who’s been quite low last night. Let’s just keep them in nice dark greens if they need to be at the beach:D

Wishing you a much more peaceful day today, Kit :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Thanks Staci for the kind words! It was quite a day yesterday. I mean, those are minor, just inconvenience, but when they happen on top of everything else, they can really get you! :banghead:

Sorry, you had TWO flats by a nail! It's super annoying! I was lucky that my friend told me about this shop that was only about 3 miles from where I was. All things considered, I was quite lucky.
The washer thing maybe more complicated - it refuses to spin and clothes are drenched wet when they are done  My feeling is that we will need a new one. Can't even remember when we bought the one we have. DH and I have completely different memory - I'd say it's about 15 years ago and he says it's less than 10 years. Since I am the one who uses it, I'd say I must be right!

Anyhow, life goes on and Mikan seems to be recovering the flat bounce. Hopefully, she can join Ivy and Nestle at the beach soon!

Morning Kit sorry you had such an annoying day yesterday. Same here I had a nail in one of my tires 2 weeks ago, not a lot of nice words that came out of my mouth when I saw that :p
I'm glad you found such nice guys to fix the flat, and they didn't even charge you, that will never happen here in Jersey.
Sorry about the washing machine, you are probably right about how old it is . I hope Mikan gets down to the beach soon , I see she's on the move .:bighug: :bighug::bighug::cat:

Hi Diane,
Oh my. You had one too! Nails are everywhere  People ought to be careful not to leave them on roads!
It was really nice that they just lift my car up and oh, nail. No problem and just did it. No charge. I couldn't believe it either. I sure will go back there. They got a new customer and I'll tell everyone!

We are gonna go look at a washer today. I have no idea what washers are like nowadays. I don't need anything fancy - just basic, reliable one. I hope I can find something nice!

Mikan's doing a bit better this morning - hope she'll get down to green soon!
Have a lovely day, Diane! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Sometimes the “stuff” of life can just be overwhelming, especially on top of FD. There have been days where I’ve dissolved into a puddle of tears (it’s a lot):(

I hope today is brighter and less stressful for you! And that Milan has a calm day for you :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I love it when I can find a local place like that - I have one I go to for most of my car stuff because they've done what they can to help me out so many times.
Things in tires are rough - I park sort of near where we have a large dumpster for work, and my shop is frequently dumping all sorts of stuff, so I've found screws and bolts in my tires. The weirdest was a snapped off box cutter blade though.

I hope Mikan gives you some good numbers today since you were holding off on an increase after the last drop to the 50s. :bighug:

Good meowning Kit and sweet Mikan!

I'm sorry you had to deal with so much in one day. Some days it seems everything happens at once, and when we're dealing with our sick kitties on top of that it might all feel overwhelming. We all have those days when we feel blah and just wanna cry :arghh: but then we remember why we're doing all this.
To add to all this craziness, yesterday was a full moon too :nailbiting::eek:

But how great about that little tire shop. Wonderful service for a wonderful lady. Hopefully you won't have to use them again, but it's nice to have that option.
You handle everything oh so well, as always.
My boys and I wish you a nice and uneventful Caturday. Hugs and kisses to you and all the fur babies :cat::cat::cat::cat:

Hi Staci,
I know exactly what you mean. My sleep was really poor as I was thinking of what to do with the laundry and washer machine and etc. But it will all work out. Things do fall into right places eventually. But it's hard to see through when you are in the middle of it o_O

Mikan's descending very gradually today. Not bad, but not a great kind of day so far. Well, maybe this PM.
Ivy looks like she's acing! Tell her to wait for Mikan at the beach! :D:bighug:

Hi Alicia,
Yep, I felt so lucky to have found the shop. I want to support local businesses, particularly if they are so flexible and accommodating. My friend has been going there for years and says that they always fit you right in.

I can see how your parking situation can be tricky, given what you do there. But a box-cutter blade? How would it get in there? At least it got into a tire, not your skin!

Mikan's taking her time coming down, but she has come down. I'm hoping for a better PMPS and cycle then. We shall see!

Awww, Karolina, thanks for the kind words. Yes, it was one of those days and it was a full moon? That can explain the whole thing!
I had to really think through - I'm healthy, DH is healthy, and all the cats are doing well (minus FD :cat:). Tomatoes are growing, and the house is in order. Things ARE well! I really had to remind myself of this. Easy to lose sight of what is important.

Wishing you and the boys a wonderful Caturday too! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Oh, so much going on---you have my sympathies, because yes, little life complications wreak havoc with insulin and testing. I'm so glad you had some nice folks to help you with your tire! Good luck with the washer, I hate appliance shopping, and the cost makes my head hurt. Hoping Mikan cooperates and you can get what needs done accomplished. Sending hugs :bighug:

Thanks Christine,
It felt like one thing after another - but those nice guys at the shop fixing my tire in no time really helped with my mood so much. It was almost like restoring faith in humans ;)
I was lucky also that July 4th sales have been going on right now and all kinds of discounts were available for appliances. I don't have a need for anything fancy, and looks aren't important since it's not something sitting in the middle of the dining room to look at every day.
Mikan has been a super sweet girl today, coming down every so gently (my drama queen girl?). Made it easier for me to get some errands done! But I do want to see green numbers - maybe this evening?

Hope you, Jack and the gangs are having a lovely day! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

The box cutter blades only go into the skin when I'm playing doctor and cutting out splinters. And then only my skin. :joyful:
