A pink and yellow morning, and so far a yellow and blue evening. Thinking about an increase - she did drop to limes 6 days ago, but that was also a day she was on gaba for her vet visit, and she doesn't eat well when she's on gaba. I will be gone a fair amount of tomorrow's AM cycle, so I wouldn't want to increase then, but I'm definitely thinking about it after that.
Thank you @Diane Tyler's Mom for the link to the soulistic food - I'll take a look either tonight or tomorrow.
She isn't currently on a phosphorus binder, although I have some that my friend who had Kit's brother sent me after he died (he had diabetes, which lead to me testing Kit and her having it. Then he had kidney disease, which led me to testing Kit and her having it. They didn't catch his as early though, so he went pretty quickly, and my friend sent me the phosphorus binder). She also sent some slippery elm, but I will have to look up what she was using that for.
I'm pretty sure Ivy is on some stuff to help her kidneys - Kit is just vehemently anti pilling (she's a strong little so and so for being so old), and she will regularly stop eating when I try to put meds in her food.
I may have also just had a brief spiral yesterday because her numbers got worse. But they didn't get THAT worse, and I'm proactive AF about stuff, so I'll make a plan and that'll be that. From what I read, ckd kitties are more prone to UTIs, and we were lucky not to have it happen until December, and I think that is what sort of started the whole thing in motion, and now we're just sort of trying to get her back to a good place as best we can. Or something like that.
And aside from the increase of numbers, her behavior is essentially the same as it has been the last few months. No getting on anything higher than a suitcase on the floor, and no playing (she's never really been a player), but the rest of the P's have been good.

She hasn't suggested anything as yet - we're going to try for a urine sample on Monday. I'm going to chat with her than about adding anything to what we're doing. We've mostly just been trying to increase how much water she drinks, which has kept her relatively stable since 2022. Honestly with how little we changed with her initial ckd diagnosis, it's a bit of miracle that she's stayed stable for as long as she has.Did the vet suggest anything they want to change or add for support of the kidneys? Is Kit on a phosphorous binder?
Sending you and Kit lots of love and many hugs
I’m sorry to hear her values have increased![]()
