I definitely fell asleep after +6, and am hoping she just coasted away until AMPS, and didn't drop lower. And such a nice AMPS this Monday morning. It's a slightly similar pattern to last Thursday, with not quite as much of a drop at +2. And she won't be on gabapentin for a vet visit today, so if she drops lower at +3 like on Thursday, she'll likely actually be hungry enough to eat. A nice lovely coast without limes would be really nice though.

I hope everyone has a good Monday. :bighug:

Good girl, Kit cat. Nice cycle so far. Nice dark greens:D
Hope you got out before the heat. We are getting hit too this week, gonna be unbearable.
Glad you got some sleep, Alicia:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Yeah, I saw that the heat wave was hitting the midwest, then heading to the east coast for a longer stay. So gross for June. I hope y'all stay safe in this heat.

So, we got her labs back. Her creatinine went from 3.1 to 3.6. Her phosphorus is also a bit higher.
I also called to set up a dental with the place we went last time - they're booked out until September.
Her vet wants the urinalysis, so I'll drug her up again, and we'll see if we can a sample with her regular vet. She also thinks she might have an infection in addition to some dental issues now.
I probably should have pushed more to get a dental done last year, I just get nervous about her going under because she's so old.

Are there preventative things I should be doing since her numbers related to the kidney disease got worse? Right now we haven't added anything in since she had been holding pretty steady.

Hi Alicia, I don't know what low carb food you are feeding Kit but
Tyler's brother had kidney disease.
if you tap on this link and look at post #32 I listed some Weruva pates for another member that's low carb/ low phosphorus.

@Alicia & Kit cat
Thanks, Diane. I had purchased some of those when Kit was first diagnose with ckd in 2022. She unfortunately hated them. I may have to see if I can get her to eat them again. Everything else low carb she eats is pretty high in phosphorus (because of course it is.) Hugs to you and gentle scritches to Tyler.

Did the vet suggest anything they want to change or add for support of the kidneys? Is Kit on a phosphorous binder?
Sending you and Kit lots of love and many hugs:bighug::bighug::bighug:
I’m sorry to hear her values have increased :(
