Thanks, Kit! She's dropped a bit more, but I think we're in an okay spot. I hope you and Mikan are doing well. I'm hoping to catch up with everyone soon!Looking good!
Stay right where you are Kit cat!
Wishing you a nice dark green day![]()
Hi Alicia, hoping Kit stayed in dark greens today and no big bounces to follow.5/19/24
Well, she seems to have broken her bounce this morning. Still a pretty decent drop between +1 and +2, but hopefully it doesn't cause as much of a bounce as her drop on Saturday did.
I hope everyone has a good Monday!
She did pretty good and stayed green longer than she has been, which is nice! And she's a bit lower tonight, which is also nice.Hi Alicia, hoping Kit stayed in dark greens today and no big bounces to follow.
What did you feed with that drop? Or did you feed before it happened? (I’m usually reactive and feel like I’m not ahead of the drops).
Hope you had a nice day and have a calm night.![]()
I mostly see your notes about pukes and solensia. Not much about carbs you are feeding in the notes. Most spaces are empty. She did pretty good and stayed green longer than she has been, which is nice! And she's a bit lower tonight, which is also nice.
I pretty much did what I have been doing - if she's above 150 at preshot, I feed a 7% at +1 and 9% at +1.5. I'm trying to not go above the 9%, but maybe I need to try 9% at +1 and +1.5? Or we'll see where she goes now that it seems like maybe she broke the bounce?
Question based on a conversation with Wendy - are you able to see the notes I add to my spreadsheet about what I feed Kit? Wendy couldn't, and based on you asking what I fed, I'm guessing you can't see them either.![]()
I do notes on individual cells to help me track - any of the ones with little black triangles in the corner have notes, like the below example. But apparently people can't see them?I mostly see your notes about pukes and solensia. Not much about carbs you are feeding in the notes. Most spaces are empty.
That is the theory. You're trying to feed enough higher low carbs that it just slows that drop some. And maybe lets her spend longer in some lower numbers. But it has to be consistent, because it doesn't always work. But it (hopefully) works often enough that the bounces slow. You still take increases and decreases as needed, you're just trying to make it more gentle?I think you mentioned at one point it feels counterintuitive to feed a higher carb if you think they’re going to drop from a higher number.
For example, tonight Ivy was over 400 at PMPS and now an hour later she’s in the 200s so that’s a huge drop.
(Of course this is on the Libre), however based on what you’re saying if I fed, let’s say 9% maybe that would not allow her to continue to dive so fast after +1 if she had a snack of 9% it would slower down a bit, Instead of just crashing down and then bouncing back up again probably tomorrow morning. If understand your theory correctly?
I usually just feed her normal 6% diet for meal and then snacks at +1,2,3.
I feel like I’ll just never understand what is the right thing to feed![]()
If you have a moment - will you check again to see if you can see the notes in the cell. I made an adjustment that might make it work.I mostly see your notes about pukes and solensia. Not much about carbs you are feeding in the notes. Most spaces are empty.
Dang. I tried one more thing if you are able to take a look.No triangles for me.![]()
