Good afternoon,
day two of the new dose 2,75 IU with almost flat and mostly pink cycles. Looks quite similar to what we had when we started with 2,75 IU at the beginning of april.
Binie is still very sleepy and inactive but eats well and does not seem to have pain. Pooping is a problem and I started to give her macrogol since yesterday but it is not back to normal. I hope this is all still part of the healing process and everything goes well. My nerves start to get very thin and I haven't left the house for a minute since last thursday.
But we got some really good news yesterday, just in time for her 14th birthday today.
The vet wrote me an e-Mail with a letter from the pathology. The tissue they took out was inflamed fat and subcutaneous tissue. They suspect it was due to foreign substance influence. They seem to make some further tests but so far it looks like Binie "just" (hard enough) has to heal the wound and there is no further treatment needed. I wonder if all this caused her diabetes and if it will effect her bg on the long run.
As a consequence I think of putting a fence around my terrace. So she can still go out but no foreign cats can come in and bite her (we think the surgery was due to a bite wound) and I don't freak out if she goes too far while her bg is dropping. Maybe it is time for her to retire.
Hope everyone is having a beautiful and safe 1st of may!
