Hey everyone! Just an update from my previous thread https://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB...itty-in-hospital-for-dka.288612/#post-3169002

Mr. Cutesy is starting to gain some weight back, as of 4/15 negative for ketones, and today was the first day multiple blood sugar checks have him in the 100s!! I’m confident he is starting to regulate with the correct treatment!

We met our new vet and are going to complete a blood glucose curve May 8th. But we’ve got him on 2 units now and it seems to be helping.

One question I have currently is about hair loss, nothing major but I’m seeing his hair in random
Spots around the house which I’ve not seen before. If you look at him you can’t see any difference so it’s not major. I’m wondering if it’s due to the switch to FF once he was diagnosed. Anyone have this issue? Also, what’s the perfect glucose range for cats? I’m not even sure!

As always thank you to this forum and the members on the fb group for helping us kickstart this journey and getting our Mr. Cutesy back to good health! Here’s a pic of him below!

I can't say I've seen hair loss as an issue. However, it's spring -- or at least it's getting warmer where I live. Do you recall if Mr. Cutesy would shed more with the season change?

Have you updated the SS Megan?. I can’t see many tests in during the last few days. Please try and get a preshot test done every time. I know you and the kids have been sick…that must be hard for you….but it’s not safe just to give the dose without testing. I hope you are all better soon:)

everytime I do insulin we test prior. I just missed the spreadsheet one night and one morning I believe it was and I didn’t want to put a wrong number in. I noticed today bc the date was off and I didn’t want to put wrong values.
