Amps 51 Libre
Good morning :coffee::coffee:
Been up since 3:15 am. Libre alarm sounded a 59 drop at +9.
Fed 2 tsp 6% at +9.5 in hopes it would hold her for 2 hours to shoot dose.
She dropped again at +11. (Didn’t feed at that time.)
Prepped food, gave 9.25% for breakfast.
Shot current dose of 4.5 units (shot a low Libre 51, but know it’s higher on a handheld).
(Still a low Libre number to shoot)

She’s currently getting a food bump. We shall see where we go from shooting a lower number. (I’m guessing an active cycle after so much flat yellow yesterday am cycle and lowering her dose on 4/16. )

Safe surfing everyone :cat:

Good morning Staci,
Gosh, it's harsh. Up so early and having to worry about her numbers.
Nice preshot and hope she can stay in the good yet safe and alarm-free zone for you.
Congrats on shooting low. I know how unnerving this is! (Recently took a BCS :p too scared to shoot full)
Surf safely today pretty girl! Hope you get to enjoy the day, Staci! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Good morning, Kit, she does seem to have these late nadirs lately in bounce breaking cycles. It’s an early start to a day. And I then wrestle with what carb to feed and do I feed a snack 2 hours before shot time. ;)
At that hour in the morning, it’s a lot to try to figure out a plan when you’re trying to wake up quickly and get the brain going.

I saw you did a BCS and that seemed like a very good plan considering how low Mikan was riding.
Hope we both have a stress-free day today, sending good vibes your way :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Staci! Wow, you are having quite hard nights. Dies the Libre 2 have an alarm as well? Maybe that would be beter for you, if not?
Ivy looks great, flat for now, stay safe, Ivy! Maybe get a poke to be sure she is safe? If she lets you.
Have a good day, Staci :bighug:

Hi Cecile, she's safe, I did a test earlier :) The Libre 2 doesn't have the ability to be sent to your phone (so no remote knowledge of what's going on, you have to manually walk up to the sensor and scan it). The Libre 3 sits within 33 feet of Ivy/the sensor and "reads" and transmits the data through an app to "Ivy's phone" and sends it to my phone, so at all times I know what's going on.

While technology is awesome, it has its limitations.

I was thinking about you, Bella is not eating today (which never happens. She is a glutton usually, but she ate 1/2 stick butter yesterday evening and I bet she does not feel good!), and thanks to you, I had some ideas to convince her!

I'm sorry she feels awful after that butter. I'm glad you had good ideas (what did you try?)

Hi Staci,
Sounds like you had a rough night again. I'm sorry. You did a great job bringing her back up. Hopefully you'll find some time today to squeeze a cat nap.
Wishing you and Ivy a good day :cat::bighug::cat::bighug:

I mixed some pate with warm water, added parmesan on top, took the plate and put it closer to her mouth :-) The warm water and parm did it. She ate about 1/4 of what she would eat normally, but that's OK as long as it's not too long!

I hope she recovers quickly, good job, Mom:)

Haha, cat nap, I wish!! Still working while juggling her needs but that's ok. Lucky I can be here to closely monitor her!!
Hope you are all having a good day, Karolina :bighug::cat::bighug:

Afternoon Staci, I'm sorry you've been up since 3:15 AM
I was really hoping last night would have been better.
Looks like she's having a nice cycle so far .:cat:
Too bad I didn't live by you , Tyler wakes me up every morning at 3:30 or 4 :00 AM for food. I would come over and keep you company and help you out so you could get some sleep :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I wish you lived closer for so many reasons, Diane! Thank you sweet friend. It’s been another long day. Yawn. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Pmps 400.
And now the big trampoline has been brought out since she began the day with low numbers.

I have a question about these recent late nadirs very early into the next morning around +9 +10.
Am I doing the right thing by giving her a teaspoon or two of low-carb food at that hour?

My goal is to try to bring her up a little so that there’s no danger of being able to shoot and wanting her to be at a shootable number.
(She doesn’t really get much of a bump, though from 6%, maybe for 30 minutes, but then she just drops back down again.

Is there any merit to feeding her another round of 6% an hour before AMPS, or is that a definite no no?

Lately, When she’s in these low numbers at AMPS I’ve been feeling 9% food instead of her normal 6% to try to start her a little bit higher point. Does that seem like the right strategy?

I hate trying to make these decisions at 3 and 4 AM in the dark by myself, you know what I mean?
