Could you please add you live in China and the food you are feeding ("low carb wet food" etc) to your Signature. So people know which timezone you are in and we don't keep asking what food you feed! Thanks :)
@Evey
Just tap in your name above, then tap on signature ,add the information then tap Save :cat:. Thank you

Hi Diane, @Evey has already done so. :-)

Congrats on the reduction!

I think she is probably going to earn another reduction tomorrow. She is at 52/2.9 at +2. I started feeding her higher carb earlier than last night. I hope the food will stall the drop.
She is on a roll. Do you know the carb% of the food you are feeding?

I have no idea. The food I fed to bring up the BG is Ziwipeak Mackerel and Lamb recipe. The label has no information about carb%. But chickpea is listed as the 4th ingredient, not counting water. The last ingredient on the list is dry seaweed. Is it counted as carb?

The regular wet food that i feed her is Fellicita fish and turkey. The label has no information about carb% either. But the ingredient list doesn't have carb.

Sorry, i will add low carb wet food and location into the signature so it's more clear.

At +3.5, She drops to 45/2.5 now. Do you think I should feed her 1 piece of dry food or greenies kibble to bring the BG up?
Sorry I didn't see this earlier! 45 on the Libre? What did you feed?

Cat food companies are not required to list carb%. You can use this carb calculator to get a rough estimate of carb% based on Guaranteed Analysis values on the cat food label. Look at Dry Matter Carbohydrates at the very end.

No worries, I'm so lucky to have you help me.

+4 23:08 Libre: 52/2.9 Handheld meter: 43/2.4 Food: 25g Ziwipeak
This is the latest BG tested by a handheld meter. Her +4.5 is still 52/2.9 on the Libre.

Wow, thank you for sharing this website! It's so useful!
Dry Matter Carbohydrates for Ziwipeak Mackerel and Lamb recipe is 11%. Fellicita fish and turkey is 6%.

So she has dropped to 43 (with a meter) despite getting 11% carbs every hour from +2?

Not every hour. I fed her Ziwipeak (11% carbs) at 21:08 and 23:08 from +2. It's 2 hours span. She already got all her 100g of food tonight. If she keeps dropping, I would need to overfeed her again, right?

Yes. In cycles like tonight and last night, you want to feed a snack every hour. Even every 20-30 mins if she is below 50 (on the meter). Why not break up the 100gms of food you feed into smaller snacks to be fed every hour?

I didn't think about this. I usually divide the 100g into 4 smaller meals. I feed her 25g with the insulin shot, then feed her according to the BG curve and finish the last meal before +4. I will try this next time.

I think the 55g of the 11% carbs food are finally working. Her BG is up to 76/4.2 at +5. But is it too high?

1 hour.
1.5 hour after she ate the 11% food, she is at 4.8 now. It seems the insulin can't hold the BG down after she ate the 11%? Did I fed her too much of the high carbs?
It's okay. You can't spend night after night staying up monitoring her.

Good night! You could use the sleep :-)

Since you are following TR, I would not reduce the dose yet. This could still be the 0.75U depot at work. The depot takes 4 cycles to adjust to a reduction and we do not take back-to-back reductions with TR.

Oh, I didn't know that. Thank you for telling me this.

After her BG went up to 110, her BG kept going up and didn't drop. Her preshot number is 146 and I gave her 0.5U. Hopefully she can hold this dose well today.
