I got the call from the vet!!!!!! Kona's oral mass come back as NOT cancerous. :):):):)

The biopsy came back as all "reactive tissue."

"Reactive soft tissue enlargements are caused by injury, such as infections, physical trauma, chemical trauma, or allergic reactions. Reactive soft tissue enlargements usually have a rapid onset (short duration) and may increase and decrease (fluctuate) in size and usually eventually regress."

They suspect the oral mass was a response from a progression of periodontal disease. A foreign body might have been a cause, but unlikely. So it was probably just a response to the build up of plaque.

I will now move her dental cleanings to every year rather than every other year. I'm also going to bump up putting the "1-TDC" capsules in her mouth. Good studies on that for oral health. I might try to brush, but that's so hard to maintain.

Yeah, she is hinting at a reduction isn't she... if I have to break out the 20% and karo, that's a sign. I'll give it a couple more days, maybe make a decision this weekend.

Wow wow wow Kona was a busy bee at the beach today. Good thing you got to work from home. I wish I could work from home sometimes.
Aaaaand such wonderful news for both Kona and Cleo but especially Kona. You must be so happy and relieved. And I hope when they repeat Cleo's test it will be also good and clear her.
