The higher number - ugh. I lowered the dose last night since she was lower and sometimes hard to test still. Eating well so maybe I can get a test or two in today.
She's still not herself - very subdued, purring when I pet her but doesn't really want to be picked up, etc. She's also staying off by herself more and doesn't want to engage. I did put some catnip on her scratchy and she gave a couple of scratches and decided to perch on it.
I figure she's still in recovery mode from pancreatitis, I guess, but not sure how long that takes. I'm worrying but trying not to.

Hi Vicki, poor baby. I hope she feels better. I assume the higher number is from the reduced dose last night and changing doses doesn’t help the depot settle.
I know it’s a challenge due to her eating. I wonder if Wendy may have some suggestions?

I probably made a mistake reducing to .75 but I was worried. She is definitely eating better. She's a little Grumpy but she's eating. I'll see today if she'll let me monitor at least at the +3 or so mark. Maybe she just needs a few days to get her energy back.
ETA And I think I'm just worried in general too. My husband and son carried a very heavy antique dining table downstairs a few months ago. Husband hurt his legs but x-rays didn't show anything. Just got mri back and he has 2 broken legs. So he'll need surgery to fix now. I'm amazed he can still walk. All will be ok . Just little challenges for now.

Is she still on pain meds daily for pancreatitis? It's a very painful condition and that might be why she's not interacting as much. I much preferred buprenorphine as a pain med over gabapentin.

Her dose is 1.25 units, not sure why you reduced it?

Ugh. I’m sorry to hear about the broken legs and needed surgery. Healing wishes for your husband!!
And hoping Gravy feels better! :bighug:

Hi. She's still on pepcid, cerenia, and gabapentin. I forgot gabapentin makes them sleepy so that may explain it. I reduced the dose as her numbers had come down some and I was having trouble monitoring her. We had just raised it, so I was nervous about keeping it there when I didn't have much data yet. I hope I can start doing more checking again soon. Some of it is probably me, as I do feel bad checking and poking her when she isn't feeling 100%.
If she doesn't improve more shortly , I'll ask for the other pain killer.
Thank you! I think I'm beginning to breathe a.little easier.
