She was still down about 100 points by +2, but at least it didn't happen between +1 and +2. I fed her the usual 7% at +1 and 9% at +1.5, and also fed some 9% at +2 since I needed to go teach and wasn't sure where she was headed. She stayed pretty steady so I feel okay about it.

I have to attend a run through this evening, so I won't be able to test a lot, but Eric will be home to feed her the scheduled meals and keep an eye on her. The rest of the afternoon is working on a false proscenium I'm installing, so a bit of a long day.

Hope everyone is having a good Tuesday!

Hi Alicia, looks like she got steady after that big ole drop at +2. Hope that 9% did the trick!!
Good luck with the projects at school today. And yay Eric to the rescue.
Stay steady there Kit, and have a nice night. Hope you get some rest. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

She seems to not have skyrocketed after the drop by +2 - I think that if it happens over that first two hours, instead of just over 1 hour, her body tolerates it better? At least that what I seem to be seeing. Which is nice to see tonight (and also slightly terrifying since I won't be home to test, but of course, because she is cat, that's the way it goes. Luckily each act seems to be an hour or less, so I should be home by +4ish?

Well, the actor who is the lead in the show and onstage basically the entire time went to Indiana for the eclipse, and isn't coming back till tomorrow. So he's not here for the only run this week, and we go into tech on Sunday. So. Rehearsal tonight was canceled and the run is moved to Thursday (which was supposed to be a night off), and everyone is pretty angry at this one person. Which, is legit. Everyone else who went yesterday made it back in time, so I don't feel a whole lot of sympathy. But it also means I don't have to go in tonight. Huzzah!

@Angela & Cleo - a question for you since I know you played (play?) the carb game with Cleo. My current plan is 7% at +1 and 9% at +1.5 to stave off big drops - if she's over 150 at preshot. If she's under, I feed 6% or under based on how her numbers are behaving. I did that tonight and am definitely seeing good action, and I mostly wanted to get your thoughts on that plan. Does it seem sound to adjust if she's lower? I still want to stave off bounces that are big (which would in theory send her to not good low numbers), but also want the insulin to do it's thing. In a previous discussion you mentioned sticking with what I was doing even when she was high, but I don't think we ever talked about theories on what to do when/if she has lower numbers. I know every cat is different, but what did(do) you do with Cleo? And thanks again for all the advice - it's been incredibly helpful in wrapping my brain around things.

Great day for Kit cat! It really looks like her system WANTS to be lower.
Hope your eclipse-actor comes back in time tomorrow to get going! But for now, enjoy the night off (from work) and be cozy with the kitty

It sure does! It's one of the things I struggle with - if I had stuck with the 7 and 9% schedule tonight, would she have gone to lime? Am I artificially inflating her bg's too much in the mission to slow the drop and bounce cycles? It's still low carb. But barely with the 9.
I am glad tonight was canceled just in case she would have gone below 50 even with the 7 and 9, especially since Eric doesn't test.
And the kid better be back, he already was a no show at work yesterday because he forgot to notify me when he notified all his other professors, and I was already unhappy with him for that. Tonight just ups the anger level. Mostly because 1 person managed to get a 3 hour rehearsal canceled, and so the director, the lighting designer, the 3 member SM team, the 10+ actors, and the 6-8 crew members who were there to watch a run all showed up for nothing. It just is frustrating that more thought wasn't put into this one person's actions. :banghead: :spam:

My goodness. He owes all of you A LOT. Better show up today AND better perform superbly!
It's really annoying when one person manages to mess up the whole team effort.
But Kitcat gave you a beautiful cycle last night. A little tricky and I'm kinda glad you were there to test her. Hope you got to rest after +5. :bighug:
