? 4/4 Bella AMPS106, +3 87, +4 93, +5 87 +7 75 , + 9 178 had double dose

My son misunderstood and gave her 1.75 units at +2, but our sitter already gave her her dose at her normal time. Fortunately he texted me to be sure before doing it again at +3 :banghead: I told him to keep testing her, she is stable now, he has syrup and HC food in case she needs it. two questions: how long and how often should he keep testing her?
And what dose should he give tonight?

For now she had 6% at shot time and +2, LC at +3, 6% at +4.
I cannot edit my SS, will do that later if I can access a laptop.
 
He tested her again 30 mn ago and she was at 75. He will be gone for an hour, I asked him tovtest her before going, tvat shoukd be cery soon. We’re at 8 hours from her normal shot and 5 hours from the bonus ine now
 
I just talked to my husband, they could not find her before keaving, but he’s going back home and will try to find her . Now I am worried

Let’s see the rest of the cycle and the pmps. My gut reaction says to skip tonight. With a second dose it will kick in around 2-3 hours after given and then you may have two nadirs. They will need to monitor through this cycle and tge first half of pm cycle even if the dose is skipped. The more I think about it that’s what I would do.

That's exactly what my instinct is telling me to do as well. And they can watch her and test her tonight anyway. i would rather have her be a little high tomorrow morning than in hypo tonight. Thank you!
 
178 now. My husband gave her a tsp of MC plus 1 tsp of yogurt when he found her an hour ago (she was not hiding, they just did not see her, asleep on a chair in the kitchen). She is now happy and well fed. He will keep testing and I think skip tonight. Thank you!!

Looks like you decided to shoot tonight? Please be sure and show on her SS that she got two shots today. I’m glad all is ok.

No, skipping. They are in Minneapolis and me in Montreal, I don't want to keep worrying, that will be much better for everyboidy, I think. He understood now that insulin is twice a day. I feel bad, he took notes and I used the same paper for the sitter, so he saw my notes saying 1.75 units, etc, and thought I meant that for him.
I will fill the SS when I am back home on Saturday, it's too complicated on the phone, I am not good with that!

Sorry….. I got my dates mixed up. I thought today was the 3rd, not 4th, and I thought you got home, shot, and did the SS. Sorry about that!

I do agree with skipping tonight.

It's OK. I am having issues remembering my own schedule, I am not expecting you to know it!
Thank you for your answers. He will skip and will not shoot tomorrow morning. And I am sure she is very happy to have had all that food today. I told him to test her at what would be shot time, then +2 ans maybe +3. He will text me the numbers.
 
No worries. She’s fine and that’s all that matters. I’m sorry for what you went through. I think she is going to bounce. Since you skipped, probably a +2 will be all they need. :bighug:
