We went to 10 units this morning...this is a of a lot of insulin for a cat on a low carb diet. I like my vet- she's very helpful, totally supports my decisions, and is very good with the rest of the herd. The problem is that she only works 2 days a week, and the owner (who I DON'T like) is closing the clinic to accommodate her vacation schedule and is too cheap to pay anyone to work. I'm very thankful my vet took the time to text me on my cell, so at least she is aware of the questions/issues and hopefully will work on it even if the clinic is closed. I'm just really frustrated, and worried, about Jack's numbers and the root cause of his resistance to all that insulin. @JLS12@Mikanmama@Staci & Ivy
I'd feel the same way in your position. I had a vet I liked very much, however because of some clinic policies that popped up, I decided to take my money elsewhere.
I'm too new to this diabetes thing and have much to learn. But I can offer moral support.
