"2nd Corky's Fat Dose Question"

A great green nadir yesterday and today as well. When you had the 89, I hope you only fed him a teaspoon of LC to help him surf in green. I was a little disappointed to see him jump up to 155 at the next test. But I will take the 89s though!

Happy St Patrick’s Day to you too. I’m about to start my Irish Stew.

Why the bit of MC today?
I don't see the necessity.

I am as usual very concerned when he gets into these green numbers after his insulin kicks in, because it usually begins the spiraling just before his PMPS, I can not handle it when he gets into the low 100's before dosing, I become very unsettling and panicking begging for immediate help, which I know it's not possible at times, just before his PMPS, and there has been so many many times I can say I've cried wolf, that I do not want to be ignored when I really need you and Suzanne on my corner, I am trying to handle it myself out of embarrassment, after the fact that his BG has gone up after a very low. It is very confusing to me to see Corky's numbers be so great and then everything goes all wrong, after all this time of constant testing every 2 hours out of fear of losing him, or getting other issues like I read on a daily basis, here in the Forum, I don't want to get there, I financially and emotionally cannot go there and I cannot loose him, I don't know if you can understand, Corky has been with me going on 11 years. Corky and Coco are all I got left from family that has ghosted me for the past two years, they are my anchor, my comfort my everything always have been since day one
I am sure I have made many mistakes or errors in reference to his diabetes care, I learn every day on how, and when to act on his behalf. Sorry I am a bit emotional today:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::cat::cat:;)

Okay so about that little bit of MC. I also don’t see when you gave it. Did you give it first thing in the morning or did you give it when he was at 89? 89 is a safe number and way away from anything that’s concerning. So next time he has an 89 at +6 don’t worry about it. Remember… this was at +6 -and already halfway into the cycle, which is definitely something to take into account when looking at a cycle.

You did great, Maria! You just fed regular LC when he was at 88. I’m really proud of you. And Corky came through for us!

Hmmm…. Lottery numbers…. 89 88 … how many more numbers do I need or should I just repeat those? Maybe Corky is telling us something :p

I knew you'd liked that!:D We woke up pretty good also, I wish I had those numbers, but I do not gamble, sometimes I just buy a scratch off and hate loosing the $1.00 I worked in Las Vegas at Bally's Casino as a Black Jack & Poker dealer, believe me THE HOUSE NEVER LOOSES!!:bighug::bighug::bighug::cat::cat:

Me too! I never play. And the house never does lose!

And you worked as a dealer in Vegas? I always think of that job as being a very high stress one.
Yes for 3 1/2 years it’s a bit streetlights but very interesting you meet all sorts of people from all over the world and you see how miserably people loose thousands and thousands of dollars I worked with High Roller that were scouted from other main casinos and all over the world that were given nigh incentives to play there it’s quite awesome actually I worked the graveyard shift, it’s when these millionaires go with bodyguards and all I use to make minimum $1,000 a day in tips alone + $50. An hour this was back in 1991-1994

Wow. That’s a lot of $$ you were earning.

I don’t know what is going on, but it’s nothing bad… just a little bit higher today.

So tell me, how did you learn to be a dealer? And how did a Florida girl end up in Las Vegas?

I went to dealer school also bartending school got my licenses My father was a professional Poker player, so it was easy for me.
Today Corky has been very unstable in his BG's up down, down up?? what could it be??

He has been pretty flat in yellow today (the small variations in the yellow numbers are not significant.). It’s okay though. Let’s see where he is at PMPS. He may decide to come down from the lemon tree by then.

Lately he’s been nadiring at +4 at night, I see, which is kind of early, but it’s what he’s been doing lately. So far it’s been a slow and steady drop so I don’t see any reason why he would suddenly do a dramatic drop of, say, 100 or more in a single hour.

I hope you’re up around 11:- 11:15 for my last test he might go lower He feeds around 10:45 hopefully I could get better if it does you won’t hear from me till tomorrow, thanks, I go to bed around 12-12:30 so it’s ok for me to take that last test to sleep in peace:bighug::bighug::cat::cat:

What’s his BG right now? Test and find out.

I don’t think you have to worry. Corky seems to hit a green and then stay there a little while- hopefully a few hours and not dive then he goes up - usually gradually.

And you can even check him again right at - or just before 12 o’clock just to ease your mind. Be sure to give him his LC snack at 12 (or just before you leave the house.)

He's good 106 I just fed him some ham, no MD or HC remembered what to do! yeee! I will leaving the house at 12:00 I'm sure he will be ok, since we need some greens anyways, I will be fine!! ha! and so will he :bighug:;):cat::cat:

That’s what I meant I gave nothing excep about 8 PCs of ham and yes I just gave them their snacks
Ham is low carb so I guess that qualifies as an LC snack :)
I hope the PT goes alright. We used to call it Physical Torture, but I hope it won’t be that in your case!:bighug:
