He really likes the sun :p I'm hoping we can try 2 units again.

The vet's secretary is going to check on the status of the prescription. I guess they just leave a message for the pharmacist and the prescription eventually gets filled at some point. Back up plan is to pick up Lantus tomorrow at the vet hospital while I'm there with three of the five rats. One sounded congested yesterday, one is sneezing, and one is occasionally sneezing  Just a URI which is easily taken care of with meds. The vet's secretary said I need a discount since I'm there so often with one of the pets :p

@Staci & Ivy the coupon on the Lantus web site didn't work. The pharmacist tried but it kept showing up on the system as for the 10 ml vials only. The GoodRX coupon did work so I got the box of pens for $35 :)

I got a medical tag to add to Leroy's collar from an Etsy shop. With all the issues Leroy has going on, I had to get the "Hot Mess" tag and list his issues on the back of the tag. Leroy is indoor only and if he gets out the door he can only run up and down the building hallway, which he has done before

That’s so odd. Did the prescription say it was for the box of 5 SoloStar pens?
(I haven’t personally tested this coupon yet).

And when I tried to use Good Rx I couldn’t get anyone to take that since it was for a pet!!

Yes it did. I made sure that the vet had the exact wording as in the picture in your other post and to specify the pens. The pharmacist had no problem with getting the GoodRx coupon to work and since a vet had prescribed the insulin, asked if Leroy was a cat or a dog.

The rats will need veterinary specific meds which I get from the vet hospital's own pharmacy. I kind of want to see how a CVS pharmacist would react if I said the meds are for rats :p

Odd observation with Leroy - if I inject on his left side his bgs seem better than if I inject on his right side. Maybe it's like with ear pokes, one side works better than the other. I'll have to keep track of injection location to see if there really is a difference in bgs.

Very odd!! But good to know. I wonder how others will find it works. Including me when I need my next box.

Good luck with that rat meds!
