3/15, Falafel, PMPS 214 - suspected fur shot

Doing a 12-hr curve today since it’s day 7 at 0.25U.

What is Falafel’s BG doing today…

We’re back to being constipated, only got a small nugget of poop yesterday. Vet confirmed at the last appointment that she’s not blocked, so I’m trying pumpkin again. Will try to pick up psyllium husk later today.

Per my last thread, we finished her round of Clavamox but the UTI is still there. Waiting for the urine culture results to see which antibiotic she’ll be getting next. I should find out Monday.

You can give pumpkin daily, even when he has pooped. You can also give it twice a day. I’ve also used miralax successfully.

The bg is pretty much the same as it’s been. I’d hold the dose at .25 since you have seen the bg under 150 last night as well as on 3/13.

Ok, thanks for confirming she seems to be happy at this dose. I realized I messed up the curve, I missed getting the +4 time.

I gave her a bit of Miralax (syringe fed - a miniscule amount since I dissolved 1/4 tsp in water and got about 5mL down her) and 25 mL SubQ fluids since the vet said extra hydration would probably also help. Hoping to get more poop today!!

I've used miralax for Fistuk when he was constipated. It works immediately. It's not fun for them to be constipated.

I give Fistuk 1/8tsp of psyllium twice a day regularly since he had lots of irregular bowl movement. He seems to have stabilised.

Thanks! I got some Miralax in her just now, hope it starts working soon.

I think we got a fur shot today hard to be sure since her dose is so tiny but I’m pretty sure I poked through to her skin on the other side with the needle. Big sigh.

If you think you gave a fur shot in that cell put PFS (possible fur shot) in that cell.
