Good morning!
I'm so happy it's Friday.
Yesterday was a day of 300s, bounce from the day before. I gave Kona Cerenia and Mirataz last night, she was very picky and slow eating her dinner last night.
Follow-up comments from yesterday:
Thanks, Staci.
Yes! I'm definitely ditching the food I think is the problem and will be shipping back to Chewy. No doubt on the meds, I picked up MORE med supplies yesterday. I have an unopened tube of Mirataz, plenty pills of Cerenia, and plenty pills of Ondansetron. I don't know what I would do without having them on standby in the future. When you have these emergencies, there's no time to mess around even if it's the middle of the day and you can contact the vet or pharmacy. That alone can take several hours or days.
Thanks, Kit! I think her tummy is getting better. Still picky, so I'm wondering if it is calming down still. Maybe some sort of inflammation that takes time to settle. You know, I haven't noticed any literbox issues. From last time and when this first started the other day, the smell was so awful I knew something was up. So, I'll look out, good call. Yes, the bounce from ALL DAY yesterday did finally clear over night and we're back to a good AMPS.
Thanks, yes, it's just a theory on the food and fat content. I did every test possible when had the ER event other than an ultrasound last time this happened and they all turned up inconclusive of pointing any fingers. The ER vet also noted it could have just been a food issue. That's when I went back and sure enough, it was a Glam N' Punk day. Thanks for checking in on us!

Kona was picky this morning, but ate her breakfast.
Lower number is for sure always welcomed, but I hope she doesn't fuss over snacks today when I need to raise her BG.
I'll work from home today to monitor.
I hope everyone has a great day! Keep up the struggle to get these cats in order.

Today's Summary:
6:20am - AMPS 145
6:23am - Fed 2/3 can of TruLuxe On the Cat Wok (3.8%) + 1/4 TruLuxe Steak Frites (5.5%)
6:30am - Shot 1.25U

That's so scary, Jason. I am sorry you both went through all that. Can you just ditch that food since it seems to cause a problem which you don't need?
So glad you had the meds on hand and they worked!
Wishing you a quick recovery from this strange bout. Great job and level headed thinking!!

Poor Kona - her tummy wasn't feeling well last night.
Hope no more softies in the litter box?
Glad she came back up - a bit of bounce right now but I'm sure she'll clear it soon.
Hope things are quieter and more peaceful today!![]()

I read yesterday's thread. That was quite the drama. Very interesting observations about the fat content and kudos for good note taking. I guess that just furthers the sage advice of "know thy cat."
Glad she's doing better after last night's issues.

shooting crazy low tonight. I tried to stop it some at +10, but it didn't help too much.
