3/13, Falafel, PMPS 367

Constipation can cause BGs to be higher. It's also possible that she needs more insulin and hasn't held the reduction.
Nooo :( I was so optimistic about the reduction. But trying to be calm about it like I see others doing. Falafel probably soaks up my anxiety and it’s making her constipated lol.

Today I am taking her to the vet for another follow up. She HATES the car and always poops/pees on rides so I’m hoping that will do the trick!

Will report back since I need to double check everything the vet says with you guys.

(Also Bhooma, are you active on the FD FB page? I saw you welcomed me, thank you!!)

Have you thought about following TR rather than SLGS? You test enough for TR and you could make dose changes faster with TR. Sorry if this has been asked before!

Not really active. I only do the welcome messages :-)

No, this hasn't been asked yet. I decided to stick with SLGS because I'm normally out of the house from 8:30am-6:30pm for work (and these are optimistic times). Since Falafel's DX I got permission to WFH for a couple days and I actually have this week off because I was supposed to take a trip. Next week I have to go back to regular working hours and won't be able to test as often :( I'm trying to use this week to get as much data and understanding as I can before I have to leaver her unattended during the day!

@Staci & Ivy Thank you! I constantly have low (or high) level anxiety about Falafel. I appreciate this vet because they are trying to reign me in, if I had it my way we'd be going every couple days for checkups :p

Edit: She finally pooped!!

Hang in there. You’re doing great. And hooray for a poop!! :bighug::p:bighug::p

The ride home from the vet was so stressful, lots of traffic and this giant truck was driving behind us the whole time :( I think that’s why Falafel’s numbers shot back up like this.

Trying to be patient for a +3 or +4 which is hopefully lower.

Even if you can get a +1.5 or +2 before you leave for work, you can still follow TR.
IS TIGHT REGULATION POSSIBLE WITH A FULL TIME JOB? YES!

How did it go at the vet? Any infection can also raise BG.
