We haven't been home much, so there hasn't been a lot of testing. I was thinking of the Libre continuous glucose meter. Are those accurate for cats? I am thinking of getting one for Dallas.

I am also wondering if he needs new insulin. We've been on the same vial since Oct 23, 2023. We keep it refrigerated.

Are those accurate for cats?

Define what you mean by accurate. We quite a varying range between members, though one thing is that fairly consistent is that the Libre tests lower than the human BG meter in lower numbers. How big that difference is varies from what I've seen. We do suggest that people double check Libre lows with the hand held BG meters.

We've had people keep vials going for 6 months, you aren't even at 4 months now.

The Libre reads lower in low numbers. We tell people to check with an ear prick. I would not get one.
