Nice blues and a bit of green the past few days. I'll take it. Weight is still not coming up, though. Maybe down a little, even. :(

Civvie Puck had his dental yesterday. Two extractions (upper premolars- the big ones), but it went well overall. It's Ariel's turn next week.

It looks like we may have found a pet sitting service that can do insulin while we're gone in April. They want to do a meet and greet beforehand so we can show the sitter how we handle things here. I'm not sure they'll be able to do BG testing, though; I'll find out more later. So I'll be looking for advice about a vacation dose when we get closer to the date. The alternative, if we're not comfortable with this, is boarding at our vet. They'll also do insulin but not BG testing, and there's no one around overnight, but there would be more eyes on him during the day at least. But I know he'd be happier at home.

I am glad your kitties got through their dentals successfully! I hope this works out with the pet sitter, especially if they will test as well as shoot. Would you bring Oberon to this pet sitter then?

good grief, how did I miss that 48!!!:eek::eek::D:D:D

The pet sitter would come to our house twice a day. (They'll also feed all the cats, bring in mail/papers, etc.) I'll have to find out how consistent their timing would be. Though since it'll be a low vacation dose the timing might not be as critical. I also have to find out whether they're able to draw the dose up themselves or whether I'll want to prep syringes in advance. Leaning towards prepping in advance.

How long will you be gone? With practise, and a sample syringe with dose in colored liquid, petsitter should be able to draw dose.
