Yesterday's thread

Busy morning, so a bit of a late post. It's my week to teach the co-taught class I teach, so I have to head out of the house by +2, although I was back home at +4.5 to do a quick test. The vet also dropped by to give a preventative dose of covenia just in case Kit has a UTI again. We saw some decent greens this morning, so that was nice.

I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday, and the kitties are shenanigan free!

Nice cycle, even though higher start! Nice that the vet comes by to do the shot!
Hope Kit cat stays put and sails nicely!
I really do appreciate her vet. Way better than the guy we had in 2019/2020 who told me I shouldn't believe everything I read on the internet, and that I was going to kill my cat.
She is doing pretty good at PMPS, so fingers crossed she has good numbers without being dramatic. I didn't sleep well last night, couldn't get to sleep, and this morning I was telling the student TA for my class that even the stair well looked comfortable, and maybe I'd stop on the landing to take a nape. They counseled that maybe that wasn't the best spot since it wasn't a big landing, and people would probably walk on me. :joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful:

Hope Kit doesn’t have a uti. Ugh. Wishing you a calm rest of your day, Alicia. Safe surfing pretty Kit cat :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Same. She had the small amount of pee on the bed the other night, but also she sort of settled into a loaf in a weird way that she had been doing with the UTI. I'm not terribly a fan of antibiotics when not needed, but the symptoms seem similar, and since I'm leaving town soon, I wanted to make sure all my ducks are in a row.

I feel the same about antibiotics. But sounds like a good call, Alicia. :bighug:

A very nice cycle for Kit today and I'm glad she behaved and was stable while you were teaching.
We're sending warm and PAWsitive vibes Kit's way and we hope she's UTI free.

Have a nice night

I was going to kill my cat.
Some vets are just so :rolleyes::rolleyes: I generally lost my faith in the veterinarian science after losing a cat who was just given a clean bill of health 2 weeks prior. Turned out cancer.
But I appreciate vets who respect pet parents and are willing to work with us. And they are helpful for acute problems like UTI and abscess.

even the stair well looked comfortable,
That's a desperation, Alicia. Glad your TA convinced otherwise! :joyful::joyful::joyful:
