Posting later than usual.
What a morning!
We had super windy day yesterday that knocked something from the chimney.
And it opened the door to the gas fireplace - of course, cats got in in the middle of the night and soot everywhere. EVERYWHERE!
Trying to clean them, trying to clean the floor, bathroom counter, litter box - paw prints everywhere :rolleyes:
Plus Yuz Boy had a dirty bottom :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Thank goodness it's Sunday and at least I can attend to it.
But I need :coffee::coffee::coffee::coffee: haven't had a cup yet.
Hope everyone is having a much much better day!
 
Oh Kit, I'm so sorry you are dealing with all of this. You must want to pull your hair out. What a disaster. Will check in later to see how things are going . Again so sorry you have to deal with this mess :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:
 
Oh no, Kit. Sorry to hear you had such a mess to deal with, that is really something. I’ll bet that’s never happened before. And hopefully never will again it seems like a really odd one off kind of thing. It’s always something isn’t it?:eek:

oooh what an unhappy way to start a Sunday! I'm so sorry you are dealing with all of this...and a poopy bum to add insult to injury. Hope things settle down for you and you get to relax some today :bighug:

Oh men, IT WAS GROSS! Just when you thought you were done cleaning, you find something else! Urgh!
And everyone got the grey tone now :rolleyes:

Hi Staci,
What a morning, for sure!
Mikan started bouncy high but was able to come down. But she too, got dirty paws :rolleyes:
Hope all the badness is cleaned off and I can get back to my normal Sunday routine!

It was the close-off vent that fell and the forced the door to open just a bit. But that was enough to invite all the cats :rolleyes:
You would think that they won't like the dirt, but oooooh, they had a good time! Amazing to see how much they could mess up!

Oh, washing the bottom on top of wiping all that soot made the whole thing 100 times worse as Yuz had to walk around with wet feet with soot still on them :rolleyes:
But at least, it was lucky this happened on Sunday when I could take tie to attend to the horribleness.

It totally will be. I've calmed down quite a bit.
Well, a friend of mine slipped on ice and fell backwards and hit his head.
He fortunately had a down jacket hood on his head that cushioned a bit.
He said that a little quick thing like this could be a life changer - I thought about.
As yucky as the situation is, this soot business isn't going to change anyone's life.
Perspective is everything ;)
 
Oh my, what a messy morning you had. I can only imagine little foot prints everywhere. Hopefully the rest of your day was better and you got some time to relax meow. Looks like Mikan had a beautiful cycle this AM and she spent some time on the beach with Nestle.

It was quite a situation but it is now under control :)
It was at first a bit traumatic but then, I realize that no one was hurt, the cats had some serious fun :rolleyes:, and the house was really cleaned :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Mikan's numbers are a little volatile from the lime lows she had but hopefully, she'll soon settle and get to work on the juice!
