So it seems that Chispa, the delicate flower of the cat world, has started waiting for an exact moment to poop at night. Approximately one minute and twenty-seven seconds after I get into bed and turn off the lights, I hear the crunch of litter compacting under her tiny paws as she steps into the box, followed by the unmistakable "scratch ... scratch scratch ... scratchety-scratch-scratch" of her preparing the perfect spot to deposit the Shinola. Then there's a moment of silence, followed by a waft of scent far too fragrant to ignore. I pry my weary eyeballs open and make my way to the litterbox to do cleanup in Aisle 7. This has been our nightly ritual for the past several weeks. I thought it was just my luck at first, but it's becoming clear that the timing is much too precise to be a coincidence.

Cat humor. :p:p

Hi Karen :)
You had me laugh :p:p:p Cat humour is the most funny and annoying thing :banghead::cat:
Fistuk used to do exactly the same for a while. I'm so grateful he changes his rhythm and he now opens the bakery in the afternoon.
He did one just today as soon as the vet came in for a visit. i thought he wanted to impress her with his special receipt :joyful:
Hope all else is well with you and Chispa :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

That's too funny!! Well, I guess Fistuk knows that if anyone appreciates a well-crafted cat poop, it would have to be a vet. I hope the visit went well after that.:cat:

I had a friend whose cat used to go into the powder room where his litterbox was -- near the front door, unfortunately -- and do "the welcoming [poop]" whenever anyone came to the door.
I'm glad Chispa doesn't feel the need to share her "accomplishments" with visitors.

Have a great day Shelly, and give Chef Fistuk a scratch on the chin for me! :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

She did take an interest in it. ANd for a moment I didn't even think about it because I?m so used to be the only one taking an interest in his poop LOL. She didn't smell anything and anyways she's really great.

Your friend's cat also has a good sense of humour :cat:
Chin scratch received with gratefulness :bighug::bighug:

Hahahahaha :joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful:
You guys are too funny!
I am sure that both kitties are so proud of their produce that they just had to share at the right timing.
In a case of Chispa, She wants to send the aroma-therapy quality lullaby for her fatigued mom! :p

Hi Karen I don't see how I missed this post
This is too funny
Tyler does the the same thing,as soon as I'm ready to go to sleep he decides to poop. Then the smell comes drifting into my bedroom.
Up I get and not so nice words come out of my mouth lol.

Or every time I clean his litter box he decides to either pee or poop.
Gotta love them :p

Here is a little gift for all of you :p:p:p

Hi Karen. I missed that last week. You made me laugh. I hope Chispa will adjust her timing and not wake you up after we change time this weekend!
